At 4/21, you are not that far off Opening Day, anyway. I think there were less that 10 trades from Opening Day to 21 Apr.

Can't really "import" anything. in franchise. You have to actually take a video of the creation binocs and recreate the player in franchise.

Yeah; that would be a very good feature to have (and one that seems, in my ignorance of how franchise rosters are actually programmed, plausible).

Of course, it would be even better if MLB the Show just gave us the ability to export and import draft classes straight up (and something that should very likely be doable without breaking anything).

I started playing NBA 2k this past year and the whole "Player DNA" import/export system had me spoiled. The way MLB The Show handles these things seems to primitive by comparison. I'm hoping that's something they can improve upon in future years. It makes it soooo much easier.

I absolutely love the Player DNA feature in NBA 2K and I desperately wish they had something similar for The Show. If a player gets a drastic ratings boost it's so easy to copy his DNA from the live roster and import it into the same player from my saved season. For The Show, I still resort to taking pictures from my phone of the players' attributes and manually updating the players in my franchise.

The Player DNA is also super helpful when NBA 2K adds a new player to the game such as a 2-way contract guy that is not in my saved season. I can take that player's DNA from the live roster and create a player in my season and import that DNA into that guy. Then I can add him to the free agent list and assign him to his real team. A feature like that would be so helpful for The Show, especially with minor leaguers.

Co-sign all of this. Kind of makes me wonder if MLB 2K was still a think what it would look like.

MLB 2k was always trash. Even when NBA 2k was good.

One of the older MLB the Show games (maybe 2019 or 2020) had a very limited version of Player DNA for "Road to the Show". If you remember, MLB the Show partnered with a few streamers and put them in the game as free agents (one guy was named Fuzzy, another was named Shelfy). If you typed their names in when creating a player, a message would pop up saying that name was already a player and you could import their likeness. Would it be that hard to do this for any player?

Sounds like this roster might be coming out tomorrow. I can’t remember but is this roster a re-rate of players or more focused on getting all the players in the minors correct and current?

                          Thanks

There were re-rates for rookies that have debuted as Sony had Random ratings for a bunch of guys. Pitchers that debuted also have real pitch data now as well instead of it being random.
