Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
I have a bunch of edited faces done that are as close to real life as I could get if I could help you out? Like Coby Mayo, Thomas Saggese, Max Clark, Ben Rice, Drew Jones and more. I can just import them on a roster file and you can fill in their correct attributesComment

All FAs are real though. Check TEST5 in the vault for a lookComment

Do you upload them to the vault? I will like to add them to the roster once I download them…Comment

I think we most likely used some of yours if they're in the vault, great workComment

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
Would you be able to add them possibly at the bottom of the spreadsheet and we can input ourselves? If not, it’s no biggie Cy. I’m leaving work and just ready to start my chise, but wouldn’t mind giving Bauer another shot on a roster.Comment

If I wanted to add Bauer or Franco (more Bauer than Franco, no explanation needed)

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
Maybe I am not entirely on the level with your methodology, but I have a question regarding the spreadsheet and one specific rating.. forgive me if this has been addressed or is in poor taste BUT
in what universe is Raffy Devers an 80 ovr/81 pot player on the level of someone like Gleyber and significantly lower rated than the likes of Johan Rojas or Austin Hays? Rojas might not be a great comparison since his speed and defense would have so much to do with it, but Devers has an OPS like 100 points higher than Hays and they are similarly rated batters here.
EDIT: I have never done 30 team control and can immediately see Devers getting traded for absolute peanuts with such a rating, the man gets MVP votes every yearLast edited by numbers_guy_313; 04-23-2024, 02:27 PM.Comment

The issue with OVR is it's so tied to position, so you end up with archetypes. Rojas is rated so high because he is the "ideal" CF in The Show's eyes: great defense, strong arm, steals bases, super fast, good contact.
If I could manipulate OVR in The Show like you can in NBA 2K with its intangibles rating, I would.
So, let's go back to Devers. Devers is hurt because he's a 3B who is slow and not a good defender. I think 85ish is fair for a player like Devers. He can hit, and that's kind of all.
So, what do you do?
You could bump up Devers, you could change his position to one in which he's more favorably rated (1B I bet) etc, but there's no perfect solution.
But I will say that when you play the game and simulate, Devers will play like Devers, and Rojas will play like Rojas.Comment
