Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
Hi guys
I picked up the show today ( haven’t played in at least three years ) and am having a problem with this roster. The issue I’m having is the cpu adding whoever to the roster after spring training. I seem to remember being to adjust rosters myself to get the correct players on the active roster. Here’s what I have done
- made two profiles, one for me and one for the cpu
- Set my profile to manual for everything and the cpu to manual for lineups and 40 man
- Loaded this roster and set cpu roster control to off
- Set the team I want to control to my profile and the other 29 teams to the cpu profile
- Loaded into franchise to regular season
I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong and why it won’t let me adjust the rosters to the actual opening day rosters
Any help would be greatComment

The roster no longer sticks. The moment you start a franchise, even if you skip spring training the roster resets so you’ll have to manually set the team to your liking again. It’s been like that the past couple years unfortunately.

Is there any way to have Shohei Ohtani not be a pitcher?Comment

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
Just stumbling upon this and this is all amazing. Cant wait to try it out. Couple questions though.
1. How does this play for cpu vs cpu? Do stats match somewhat closely with the sim engine?
2. Would these sliders and settings work without the roster? Ive been trying to do RTTS and full spectate but sliders have been an issue. I can download the roster for it at the start but wont be able to make any player edits especially as the years go on and new players are added.Comment

1. Fantastic. CPUvCPU is how I play, and the in-game matches sim very well.
2. I don't think custom rosters work in RTTS. I've seen folks report freezing at different points, not sure why.Comment

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
Music to my ears, hard to find good setups for cpu vs cpu. I may just create a young prospect with high potential and watch their career instead of RTTS then. I know you gave us the sheet to edit newly generated draft prospects, is that entirely necessary to do or should they be fine on their own? Alternatively, would the sliders work with default rosters in RTTS or are the sliders specifically designed to work in sync with the true sim roster? Was playing default-ish sliders on all-star but some stats were a little off, mainly stolen base frequency was way too low, especially for my own teammates.Comment

In terms of SB attempts, this roster differs a bit from the default scale so you see SB threats actually take advantage of that skill. I think default steal ratings are a bit lower.
You may also not see as many Ks on default rosters compared to ours, but I'm not as sure on that one.Comment
