Added: Biilly Heywood to the Minnesota Twins as a relief pitcher. He was the manager in the movie Little Big League, but did play on a little league team at the beginning of the movie, though they didn't specify a position. Using some creative license to get more pitchers on teams.

I took a short break from creating this roster due to burnout, but I'm back at it now. I've been re-reading Gary Carter's Iron Mask series and will get a lot of guys from that series. They don't have physical forms usually and not much description, but they will serve their purpose. So, I've added several players that have popped up in the first book, entitled Home Run!

The rosters for each team are listed throughout this thread. If you have any suggestions for missing players, feel free to suggest them. I still have yet to watch the original Angels in the Outfield, but I will remedy that soon. I think I've nabbed every known player from each of the other titles.

Have you ever heard of or read any of the Matt Christopher books? I remember reading them as a kid and they'd have some additional names and descriptions for you to create.

I had not heard of them until your post. They look to be relatively cheap on Kindle, so I will give them all a read and see who and what I can fit into the roster. Thanks for the suggestion.

There is this set of books by Troy Soos who writes about a player named Mickey Rawlings, great read, especially Murder At Ebbets Field, Hunting a Detroit Tiger and The Cincinnati Red Stalkings.

I've got Mickey Rawlings listed on the Red Sox right now, as I've only started the first book, "Murder at Fenway Park", but his team could change depending on how the rest of the series goes. That series has a mix of real and fictional players.

I probably won't include him, because A) he's not fictional, and B) I had a rule going in that the fictional character had to play baseball of some sort of official capacity, whether it be little league, a sandlot team, or a professional team in some sort of media (movies, books, video games, TV show, etc.). Bill Murray is a fan and I respect that, but it would be weird to just include some random celebrity just because he happens to be a big fan.

Wasn't there a few episodes of the original CSI: Vegas where they mentioned Nick Stokes played some minor league ball?



Also how far along are these rosters. I would love to play with them.
