At the start of each month, I go through each team and sort by age. I usually target anyone 33 and older.
I will look at their stats and decide whether to keep their regression or reverse it. Takes 10-15 minutes to do for the league.
I let fielding and speed regress no matter what.
For the attributes, I typically will round up to the nearest 5 or 0. E.g. if a hitter regressed from 72 to 66 in contact vs right, I round up to 70. You don't have to do it that way, but it's quicker for me, and most guys have ratings rounded to nearest 5 or 0 to start in this roster.
Perfect was thinking of doing something similar I have been doing it every week thanks for the tips def be easier that way I read somewhere if potential is higher that the regress is not as fast as well is that true?

Higher potential helps a little but not that much👍 1Comment

I'm working on updating minor league pitchers using the new pitch edit style I started with MLB pitchers. I'm also tweaking the per 9s and the fielding ratings a bit (lower fielding, higher per 9s).
I'm not updating the roster file again, but I will update the spreadsheet so you guys can make the edits in your franchises. Players on the minors pitching sheet will be marked as updated if I changed their ratings.👍 2Comment

Hey what you recommend I use for sliders in rtts using this roster? Would I apply certain sliders of 3.1 to sim v2 or just make an adjustment to 3.1? Thanks sorry if confusing

Anyone have any fixes or suggestions for the amount of errors during simulations games? Seeing between 3-5 per game during sims is it just a case of editing fielding rating?

I don't think I've ever seen that many. What's your sample?Comment

I went back and looked in my franchise, and over an entire weekend of simmed games, there was an average of 1.07 per game (0.54 per team). MLB Average this year is 1.01 per game (0.5 per team). In those 42 games, no single team had more than 2 errors, and only one game even had 3 errors (and none had more than 3).
I had to go back a week to find a game that had 4 total errors. I had to go back almost 2 months to find a game with 5 total errors.
So they're pretty rare. And there should be some higher error games. The Marlins had 3 irl just yesterday. The Cubs and White Sox combined for 4 on Sunday. The Brewers had 3 on Friday. The Yankees had 4 (and the Blue Jays added 1 for 5 total) last Wednesday.

Has anyone noticed an issue with the cutter? It looks like they messed up the break or something with a patch. If a cutter is thrown from a right handed pitcher, according to the break trajectory, it breaks more if thrown to the outside part of the zone against a left handed hitter. If thrown from a right handed pitcher to a right handed batter it breaks more if thrown to the outside of the plate again. This doesn't make sense to me.Comment
