Does anyone have a formula they use when converting a failed SP to a RP. Do you drop stamina and if so do you increase any other stats such as a slight velo boost?

Re: 2025 Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
Yep!
Very simple.
Take note of the players OVR. For example if a player is a 70 OVR SP, move him to RP and knock his stamina down to 15-30 and then save. Take note of his new OVR (it should be lower). Let’s just say it 62.
Then go add 8 to clutch, and all per/9 stats and he should be back to a 70 OVR or close enough.
The same process applies when going from RP to SP but lowering ratings.
Sometimes if a guy goes to the pen I will raise his velo 1-2 MPH.

Re: 2025 Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
I posted this over on our Discord and figure I'll post it here so you guys are aware of how we handled prospects this year!
Regarding prospects, we have officially shifted to a new methodology based on community feedback and our own self reflection. Prospects are no longer rated to fit into certain tiers based on age/milb level or overall threshold. Previously, MLB level prospects were 69-74, AAA guys were 65-69 etc.
Prospects are now rated purely on a combination of factors that values Tool Grades over all else. Modifications are made based on MLB ETA and age.
So what does this mean?
Elite prospects, truly elite guys, will now hover in the high 70’s and some may even break the low 80’s. This may seem aggressive but it is by design. With our old system, there would be no Skenes, Carroll, Merrill breakout from a rookie. With the new system this is possible.
Blue chip prospects will actually feel like a stick of dynamite when you are playing and no longer feel average across the board. If a guy has an elite tool, you will notice it.
In the past, elite guys seemed to just be “average” across the board and these guys didn’t feel special. This was caused by trying to constrain guys into certain OVR threshold.
I encourage you to ignore overalls when playing the game, and instead focus on attributes and results. It annoyed our team when we would see a 70 grade fielder have 47 fielding just so he wasn’t rated too high etc.
Take Tampa Bay’s 1B Tre Morgan for example.
Morgan has a solid 55 hit tool and is an elite fielder with 70 grade fielding (some sources have 80 grade). Our old system would have either his hitting or fielding nerfed to make sure he fit within an overall threshold. This year, he has 85 fielding and 65 contact vs RHP, reflecting both tools (granted he is nearing his debut). If Morgan were an 18 year old with these same grades, he'd have slightly lower, but still prominent ratings here.
It will be a big change but I think you all will like it. Calling up your blue chip prospect will actually feel like a boost now instead of just adding an all 60’s ratings guy to the squad. Also, trying to trade for one of these guys becomes much more difficult, and trading them away will get you quite the haul as it should.
You’ll notice that most prospects will typically be in the 55-63 range with the exception of some better talent.
This is so that AA is filled with prospects (like IRL) and AAA will have mainly former MLB guys with a handful of college aged prospects nearing a debut sprinkled in (like IRL).
Let me know what you guys think. I think you all will love the change. Understand this does not mean we inflated potentials or overalls! We just wanted prospects to play like themselves.- Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster out now! (MLB 25)

It may have been reported but all of my teams Free Agent pick ups (Braves) have very wrong contracts. Kimbrel was on a 3 year, Verdugo and Chavez were on 5 years I believe. I will need to go check other teams that made these Spring pick ups now real quick.
Just giving others a heads up if they see it.Comment

Yeah just no clue what to do about contracts at this point. I specifically fixed these as I’m a Braves fan myself lol.

Not a big deal. Loving the changes to Daysbel (for example). If all I have to do is change some equipment then that is a small price to pay for some thorough fangraphs research!Last edited by D Tom; 03-31-2025, 04:46 PM.Comment

Thanks for being kind haha. Some people freak out but I don’t know how to fix it.
It’s very weird. We had that issue last year. An 18 YO on the Yankees was making 30m a year

Where is sandy Leon on the braves roster. Also Alex verdugo is on the 26 man roster instead of Bryan de la CruzComment

AI re-arranges the roster when franchise is started anyway.
Sandy Leon was left off in favor of a Top 30 prospect
