Obviously they can’t force them. I bet if you asked most the players in the game, they would want to be in the game…. So your argument isn’t valid. It’s a lack of effort on SDS part. They have all their batting stances but couldn’t get the face scans???

Rosters are not always up to date.... They aren't up to date until SDS releases a roster.

Huh? If they release a roster in 2 weeks , it will reflect transactions up until then . It wont be the exact rosters that teams had on opening day.

How you gonna scan a guy who just does not wanna be scanned? Mike Trout was notorious for years because he refused to be scanned. Its a miracle he ever changed his stance on that. What Sony could really use is a better method of sculpting the players who don't wanna be scanned.

Again it’s up to the player to have face scan, SDS doesn’t have to ask every player.

SDS does the mo cap of stances and deliveries themselves.

So none of your argument is valid.

If game is dead to you, don’t buy it… We’ll enjoy it for you.

I want to explain something for the ones who might not be aware. [I Decided to re-word what I had before, because maybe it was a little to harsh and maybe there are people who actually don't know. I am not better than anyone here nor do I think I am above the rest. I am only here to share my knowledge and pass along any wisdom I can while sharing what I do know with the rest of the OS community.]

SDS starts their meetings in July of that year already planning things out as their cycle is about 9 months. Information starts coming out starts coming out early February and streams follow that. Anyways my point is and for the longest I have been playing the show I didn't start until 2012 but I believe it started in 2008 so once all the smoke clears they have their lanuch party etc...etc...Some if not all on the SDS team get to go to places like Hawaii, cosumel among other places for an entire week!

It will be business as usual once their lil vacation is over. Now do I agree with them taking a week off after the game comes out? Not at all should be in the off season or them split things up, not sure how it all works who takes it when etc...but this is how it's always been a week after launch.

Now about the FACE SCANS for the rookies.

1. Just like Madden and most of the other sports titles they all go to Spring training games, Pre-season etc... they setup and have "A tent" for players to come introduced themselves and get scanned, yes sometimes dev personel might travel to certain stadiums or cities but it's normally done before the season begins in those respectable sports. It's the players responsilbilty to go to the tent get scanned but sometimes for whatever reason some choose not to do it. Different sport but I remember Panthers TE Greg Olson played 15 years never was scanned until the last year he played.

2. Players still half to fill their paperwork out or their agent does to be presented in certain things like video games etc...Hence why sometimes some players can't be added until MLBPA approves it, you got MLB, MiLB, Sony and now Microsoft all half to do certain approvals.

3. The players who do not have SCANS for reasons above and above all our pay grades the SDS Artist do construct faces and sometimes those are locked like a scan then you have the obvious EDITABLE faces. I prefer the EDITABLE if there not an actual "SCAN" so I can at least edit the face myself for a much better resemblance. Also want to mention that SDS tool the FACE SCAN I am sure they utilize that when making some of these faces with software they have on thier end.

BOTTOM LINE:

If whoever these new guys are coming into "my thread" complaining about the game in general all I got to say is it's simple "DONT BUY IT"! If you already know how things are but you continue to buy it anyways then that's on you, everyone is well aware of how SDS team does things this isn't their first rodeo! This thread is about PLAYERS ADDED IN SDS OFFICAL ROSTER UPDATE! This is not a complaints or "I WISH thread".

RESPECTIVELY PLEASE GO MAKE YOUR OWN THREAD LIKE YOU HAVE DONE ON OTHER FORUMS AND LEAVE THIS NONSENSE OUT OF MY THREAD!

That's some disrespectful, condescending nonsense right there. Starting a thread does not make you king and emperor of said thread.

Taking a vacation before you've even dropped Opening Day content, including rosters, is absolutely ridiculous. It's a slap in the face to anyone waiting for those.

"DON'T BUY IT"? Too late. This is the first year they've punted Opening Day rosters down the road like this. While (as far as I can tell) not saying a peep publicly about it.

I think it is perfectly reasonable for people to discuss their dissatisfaction with the official rosters in a thread about the official roster. Even if it is "your" thread.

Although I didn’t complain specifically about SDS, I did think this was more of a discussion thread ABOUT the rosters.

Considering that OD rosters have dropped every year for years, it’s not super illogical for people to voice their displeasure.

Anyway. We’re all wanting the best for the game and I still believe this game is gonna be great. Enjoy baseball guys, let go of the rest.
