Very surprised he didn't get the longer hair last year but think they were done with that at that time, but very shocking on 25 he's the same as 24 with no long hair. I would need to look him up currently and on game and see but for whatever reason they bypass his new look. They could do it this year tons got updated last year so all I can do is ask.

I have a question about face scans or players updated like Jesse Winker getting long hair, would this only be in the rosters that they are updated in or can they be updated in any roster that has beW267-27en out already? I'm looking to start a franchise and was holding out for this update

Sometimes they feel the scan given is appropriate. Only way I see him getting updated is if there's facial feature or hair drastically changing.

Hopefully the update his scan since he has a sweet stache now!

I'm going to ask once things get back to normal and updates start back up which this coming week is a good indication that updates will start happening as usual.

Of course, every other year we get OD roster update the following Friday of the regular season start and now this year they go on break.... Son of a *****!

So we really have to wait until May for the OD roster update? Like what in the ****!!

They should not be allowed to go on vacation and should be forced to work on the game 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. It’s embarrassing that they get any time off at all. They would have all of the players scanned by now if they stopped being lazy and had a team that followed every unscanned player around every day asking them to sit down for a scan.

Come on dude really? That’s not what he’s doing at all. Houston creates this thread every year, and it’s always a resource to discuss roster updates, who was added, who was removed, new face scans, etc. etc.

He is simply asking you guys to created a different thread if it’s going to go outside of the lines of the parameters I just mentioned. Not that unreasonable of an ask. When did we start having such a lack of decorum on OS?

Don't know if it's the right place to ask. But, are there any good 2025 rosters to download for 2024 out there that don't have any attributes messed with? I'm kind of missing 24 as of late since I had everything set up the way I wanted it, and the game is complete and I'm not sitting around waiting for updates.

SDS will for sure, bcos he was on the opening day roster. they did this last year for rookies and every other year i can remember; that's why OD rosters are such a big deal, imo.

No one is arguing that at all. I would not be surprised to hear there was quite a bit of midnight oil burning, and that people were tired and ready for a break. However, as a general principle, vacations should come after the job/task/products/etc. is complete. In that regard, a sports game team going on vacation immediately after release/sport's season start and before they have ensured all game modes are fully functional (to include having a solid/complete roster set to start) is a bit of a a foul.

I think when the Full Minors started releasing in the last couple months of the season . . .

I think it was more when the default rosters started taking care of the main purpose for "Full Minors" themselves. Full Minors' primary benefit was replacing all of the fake players on the minor league rosters with real players. Hence the name. But since 22, the game ships without any fake players in the minors. So then it's just about getting the handful of missing major leaguers in and replacing the SDS employees in the Free Agent pool (which is around 40 players this year).

Everyone is entitled to vacation and time off. But there's a time. CPAs aren't going on vacation right now. Retail workers aren't going on vacation in December. And if you work on a baseball video game, this first week of the baseball season isn't the time there. In May? Sure. November, absolutely. But April? Nah.

I totally understand where you are coming from man, but at the same time it’s really not up to us to tell people when they can and can’t vacation unless we are signing their paychecks. Plus vacationing in April is a lot different than vacationing in November. I’m not trying to go on vacation when it’s 55 degrees out lol

Their schedule is based on the game release, not the sports season. They worked countless hours over the last 6 months and then continued working the next 2 weeks to provide content and bug fixes. When they come back, they are already going to start working on MLBTS 26.

Would it be nice if they also gave us an opening day roster and then took vacation? Sure. But if the opening day roster isn’t update for a week or two because they took some time off to recharge the batteries, it’s not going to kill anyone.

EDIT: I also realize I’m derailing this thread, so I’m going to shut up about it and just post about the the updates if I see any.
