I don't really think it is all that much to worry about. Look how many players the Rays have lost in the first 3 weeks this season so far. Just bad luck in my opinion.

Funny game this one is. I have had trouble getting runs across until the last 2 games, where I've combined for 20 plus runs and a ton of hits.

How do I shake him off?

I'm assuming by throwing a different pitch than the catcher actually called for. I doubt there's a button to shake him off.

That is exactly right. Just choose a different pitch to throw. It is the same as shaking off a sign.

I played in HS so I'm well aware. Noting like going 0-4 with 4 balls that were absolutely smoked.

In regards to stealing bases. Here is exactly how I steal.


1. I never take more than the default pre set lead.

2. I never leave early...meaning I do not hold down the L2 button and then release it before the pitcher goes into his wind up.

3. I only pre-set my steal attempt by pointing to the base runner I want to steal and pressing the L2 button (get the rumble on my controller) and then he takes off as soon as the pitcher begins his wind up.

I have been thrown out. But my success rate is high with top line known base thieves...as it should be.


I want to play till the all-star break with my second year Yankees franchise (I only played 4 games on 14 with it before I carried it over) and see where the SB numbers land.

I get not wanting to jump the gun, but with all due respect if you're forced to attempt to handicap yourself and still have great success why the increase in steal ability? Is there another reason for it? Or can I take the slider at face value if I choose to make an adjustment?

I do that so the ratings truly play out. Leaving early with top base swipers is virtually automatic. Who say's I have great success? I have great success with the guys I should have. That is what I want. The ratings are the driver. Not the user skill when it comes to stealing.

Since I don't leave early and allow the dice roll to play out by pre loading the steal I click it up one notch so the percentages over the course of a 162 game season play out almost to a tee. I have been doing this since The Show 2009.


You can play the game how ever you want. I am just here to share my methods, approach and settings. Not impose them and say to everyone it is the gospel.

It's all good.

If I remember correctly, isn't the base stealing slider inverse? In other words, increasing the slider actually lessens your success rate? Or am I just wrong on that?

Hi A&S ,
I always switch between you and default and I gotta say when I play your sliders I just see it all and with a few tweaks you really unlock so many more animations then I ever see on default.

So once again thanks for painting a pretty picture once again

Mn I can't hit homeruns for the life of me.
I get plenty of hits and score plenty of runs I just can't hit hrs!
Any time I crush a ball it's either a tapper or a fly out on the warning track.
Ant advice on how to hit hrs?
