I have always said use my set as a base to make your own tweaks. I would encourage you though to play at least a dozen games with various teams to really see and feel the difference. To me it is night and day now....and OF play looks and feels far more organic. No more rocket OF's unless your seeing the truly elite speed guys like Cain, Elsbury, Jones, Cutch etc. a slow, lumbering LF is now a true defensive liability.
That is what I was aiming for....i saw some others adopting this before I gave it a try. It really is a game changer for me personally.Comment

Re: Armor & Sword's MLB The Show 15 Timed (Directional)/Classic Simulation Sliders
I've been using the All Star traditional set of these sliders in my Toronto franchise. Still in spring training but I'm really having a hard time with hitting this year. After 16 games my record is 3-13. I'm lowest in batting average somewhere around .160 and have the most strikeouts and least walks. Think I'm reaching the point where in a middle of a game I'm getting frustrated about my hitting, losing patience and almost swinging at anything.
It seems at the moment every time I manage to work into a batting count and make decent contact it will be a ground ball straight at an infielder.
Another thing is my timing will most often either be early or late. Now and then I will get good but even those I've yet to see a play that resulted in a hit. Is perfect timing possible in this game? I've yet to see this myself.
With this directional hitting, am I supposed to be always using the left stick? I mainly just use X with no left stick since I'm more use to the timing batting of previous years. When I do want to use the left stick it feels I sort have to swing and I can't stop myself from swinging at that pitch if that makes sense.
These are really great sliders, I just need some help or tips with hitting. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.Last edited by nbacoventry; 06-19-2015, 06:05 AM.Comment

RL baseball has games without HR's. So if you like the feel of the game, I'd leave it. The HR's will come. If you are looking for more HR's, just up the wind a notch. I actually had to lower the wind becuz there were just to many HR's imo. I moved it from 5 to 4 and the HR's dropped right to the right level for my happiness.Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: Armor & Sword's/Marino MLB The Show 15 Timed (Directional)/Classic Simulation Sli
Armor, I've used your sliders before and enjoyed them as we basically have the same style of play. Your clean screen approach would be great if it weren't for my problem with the vibrating - I hate it especially during that heartbeat vibration in the clutch situations!!!
I've been using classic since forever, that is how High Heat did it and I never liked the meter in MVP. I'm really surprised, though, that you can use the pitch edits with classic pitching. The pitch selections are fine, the process used to determine control especially was flawed. I find them unusable with classic pitching.
Since you've been testing these latest OF fielding adjustments, do you have any stats or a sample size from your games? I'd like to know what your team's triple slash has been.Comment

Re: Armor & Sword's MLB The Show 15 Timed (Directional)/Classic Simulation Sliders
Yeah i know i just started using classic i was a meter guy and i don't get it if i tap it it goes no were or even close to were i want it then when i hold it down it a little more accurate, and what does it mean when it vibrates when holding it down do I let go or keep holdingDetroit Red Wings-Detroit Tigers-Detroit LionsComment

Re: Armor & Sword's MLB The Show 15 Timed (Directional)/Classic Simulation Sliders
What do you guys do when one of pitchers is cold on classic pitching? Wily Peralta has been getting shelled for about 4 starts in a row. I obviously can't replace him since hes one of my better starting pitchers. Dude just cant seem to locate his fastball no matter how long the button press is. I love classic/timed because if a guy goes cold it actually matters. You have to find ways to get that guy out of a slump. I got Gomez and Lind out of slumps, but I cant seem to figure out a SP. Any thoughts?Comment
