I agree, all star is a joke, way too easy and players don't have enough urgency. The problem is that on hall of fame, there's simply too much shenanigans with scores and games being kept competitive.

I remember you saying that, but while I don't have the link handy, it's been confirmed by a developer at SCEA that there is no scripting.

It makes sense that there's not as it'd be an insult to their game design and balance to think they'd want to tinker with such things.

To me, it's the clutch factor working as it's intended. But then again, I don't see comebacks, I see games that will sometimes have lead changes, just like real baseball.

By the way, I am making these adjustments. Really happy so far with this set, and I'm now just about done tinkering:
      Human Pitch Control -1
      Human Pitcher Consistency +1
      AI Pitcher Consistency -1

Lowered Outfield fielding errors as I've had too many OF errors when compared to the rest of the league. Hoping this helps with the ridiculous lazy OF misses on flyballs.

          You're 11-16 with the Tigers.
In real life they are 19-13.
          Something seems off.

If I were following a script, you'd be correct, but like results within slider tweaking itself, nothing should be according to an exact script.

Do I have the same injuries as the Tigers? Are the AI vs AI games simulating to the exact same schedule results as in real life?

It's a far deeper approach with this slider set, but I could see how on the surface that would seem problematic.

Forgot to post a couple of changes I made last night:

Made an adjustment to both AI Contact and Timing in an attempt to limit the total number of AI hits while allowing for realistic swing and miss %, thus Ks too.

Biggest change yet: Lowered pitchel speed down to 6 to help generate more user offense (still getting user strikeouts against too). Since HoF uses a faster pitching scale to begin with (source: SCEA), it made sense to drop it some as it was proving too difficult (for me at least) to move the cursor accurately on swings.

What I'm watching for now is to ensure the AI and user both continue to get realistic % for each swing result over a larger sampling of games.

Aside from that, also thinking of lowering steal success rate...but my Tigers do have some guys who are crazy good basestealers so I'm not for certain it needs changing yet.

Also made my first trade to bulk up our bench, since it's pitiful in Detroit.

                Sent to Arizona:
                SP Kyle Ryan
                C Bryan Holaday
                CF Connor Harrell

                For:
                1B/3B/C Jordan Pacheco
                MR David Hernandez
                SP Chase Anderson

This gives us a clutch bat off the bench who can also spell a few positions around the infield. Also bulks up our bullpen a bit.

Had an injury to my SP last game which is nice to see finally happening in played games. Out just a couple of days.

One thing to consider doing before each game is randomizing the weather a bit. I'm not sure this is happening automatically like last year. I could be wrong.
I can not get any kind of injuries, whatsoever, in my off-line franchise mode. I controlled the TB Rays, played through April, still there were no injuries happening at all across the league including the AI teams. I adjusted the injury frequency slider to the very right end, and loaded it up in my franchise, still the same. Desperately need your HELP, thx!

I'm trying to remember what causes this, but I know I've seen it too. I want to say it's one of the settings when first starting the franchise. Let me try and rack my brain on it tonight. The injury slider most definitely does work, so it has to be something else.

Oh! I just remembered: It's part of your Settings Profile. You probably have injuries set to "manual" or something like that. Make sure that's not in use!

Lowered steal success down a notch.

Patch 1.03 seems to have not made much of an impact on sliders which is good.

Gonna bring steal success back to default, but institute a new house rule of no additonal leadoffs as the AI never utilizes this. I think that'll make for the proper risk and reward balance.

I'm really liking where this set is right now, but will keep my eye on the user offense to ensure it's not too potent.

Loving the set as it is right now. Same exact sliders have produced an 8-6 win and a 2-1 loss in my last two games.

I am lowering the AI foul frequency by 1 as they just don't swing and miss as much as they should.

So happy to find a HOF slider set. I can't tell you how much All-Star was getting boring, even though I'd still lose some games simply due to the Twins ineptitude. (At least we're doing ok IRL). I'll apply these as soon as Willard's hybrid comes out and I can start my franchise and let you know what I think. I'm loving the results I'm seeing in the comments so far and will be applying them to my RTTS guys immediately.

I use quick counts and fast play. I have found that I like that better in most cases. Coming to plate with a 1-1 of 2-1 or 0-2 count for example adds a little more pressure now when batting. Same goes when you pitch and next thing you know you are 3-1 against the batter. Gotta be spot on. It is also nice when you are up on the batter 1-2 or 0-2, you can then nibble on the edges again. Games are a little fast too. Great walk and strikeout percentages too that are in line with MLB averages. Not sure if any one else has tried this and what results they are getting.

                                Thoughts???
