I'm honestly not sure, but because both are setup around a timing interface, I would imagine it would work just fine. The game is already very balance, and most of the sliders tweaked here are for things that are nerfing some of the superhuman elements of throwing, running, and fouling off pitches.

Try and and see what you think. I'd definitely play a few games before coming to a consensus.

Ok here we go... Just played a Show Live game with these on Meter pitching. I was the Bucs vs the Whitesox...

      Pirates 0 5 0
      Whitesox. 2 6 0

Samardzija threw a 102 pitch shutout on me... Lol. I had 10 K to 6 K. I had one extra base hit (2B) and 2 steals, Chicago had one extra base hit (HR), one steal and caught once. Actually played really good. I think for me the only difference between pulse and meter is the fact you have to hit the button once vs 3 times. Also with meter you can "amp" up the pitch some by going into the red zone where pulse you can't. Also you can stop short or beyond the release line to somewhat influence your release and overall location. I also beaned a batter because my curveball I threw and totally buffed the released and it sailed right into Eatons back! Lol.

OVERALL - It was really fun. Had chances and couldn't finish. Samardzija really beared down on me when it counted. Had runners in scoring position and couldn't get it done. I like Meter and I think it works really well with this setup. I'm going to stick with it and improve myself on both fronts.

Awesome; I'm glad they worked well for you. I think I'll be lowering the timing window a click for the AI while batting, and I may kick the manager hook up one notch as I've noticed it being a bit too patient now.

I'm about to go play today's Tigers matchup against the Reds.

Hey Mike, Awesome slider set im digging it and i made a fantasy draft two months ago and ive been using it since day 1 and im in my 2nd season with the Orioles and we are in the ALCS. i've been getting great results and i play the first two games in each series in the regular season to make it go by a little quicker and I been blown out a few times and i have blown teams out. It is really realistic and im in love with it, I also have mike trout and king felix to carry my team lol.

And most of the games is a 1-3 run games so its always a chalenge to me. I get alot of strikeouts but what I notice is the CPU sometimes gets atleast 10 hits but only scores 1 or 2 runs. Is there a way to get them to be clutch when runners in scoring position? or I just have to turn up the contact one notch.

I just lost 5-2 with the tweaks I mentioned earlier today.

Kinsler had 2 solo shots for our runs ans went 4 for 4.

Verlander pitched 6 innings striking out 5.

Mike Leake was the winning pitcher for the Reds going 8 striking out 10. Ugh.

Leake also had 2 doubles! I checked his ratings and sure enough, he's a decent hitter.

I even struck out the AI on a dropped 3rd strike which hadn't been happening as consistently as it should, so that's a welcomed change w the timing window now at 3.

The Reds had 10 hits, 4 2Bs, and a Votto HR.

Tigers had 8 hits with Kinsler's 2 HRs and he added a 2B.

Very small sample here, but just checking the real life MLB scores from yesterday, 18 of the 30 teams scored 3 runs or less.

As far as them being more clutch, let's try tracking this info and comparing it to the real life counterpart. Some of it too is that we buckle down when we're in danger...human instinct! The AI will sometimes try too many hit and runs w 2 guys on, thus losing the opportunity to wait for a better pitch to hit.

Wow I just got anihiated by the 1st place Nats.

                      12 runs
                      14 hits
                      7 BB (8 Ks)
                      5 2B
                      2 3B
                      2 HR (1 a grand slam)

We also struck out 11 times in a shutout loss drawing 3 walks.

In related news, my 5th SP blows.

Keep in mind, we came in 3-1 leading MLB in HRs!

You'll also see in the top of the 9th, autofielding showing how awesome it truly is when my hapless RF (Huf gets confused on a line drive single hit in front of him.

Started a franchise with the Brewers fantasy draft and have played five games with these sliders. Hitting is right about where I want it to be so far have had a few starters somewhat dominate me but also had a 3 homer game. I like the pitching a lot but find that I can really challenge the other team without worrying much about giving up a home run mostly line drive singles. When you had the cpu power set at six did you see a large increase in home runs or was it just a little too much for your liking?

Also any reason for the automatic fielding?

                          Great questions!

The MLB average for HRs in a game is .8 per team. When I raised power to 6, I liked it too, but I was seeing too many HRs from guys like Jordan Schaffer, Mookie, Betts, etc. I find 5 gives me that balance actually, as some games you'll give up 2-3, and others just 1 or even 0 for a few games.

Trust me when I say, once you change to auto-fielding you'll never look back. The animations are completely different and far more realistic. Plus, the suspense is so awesome.

Take a look at my RF here (1:46:55 mark), Darin Ruf. He's basically a 40 RF and it's his 2nd position, so subtract another 20% from that (according to developers). He has a routine line drive hit to him, and he locks up. Single.

Thanks for the response! 5 games is by no means enough so I will see where I'm at in the next 10-15 games when it comes to home runs as other than that really liked how the first few games played.

I will also try the automatic fielding as you are right the one thing that might be considered a little choppy in this game is the fielding
