"Bombed" because you may be accustomed to serving up pitches on AS difficulty w/o much consequence ...

If you stick with HOF (and these sliders), can handle the early shellacking, can re-train your brain a bit, settle down, focus & "pitch" (versus throw)... you're approach will change, the box scores will reflect it & you'll feel better rewarded.

I think the AS slider makers here are getting the absolute fullest out of AS difficulty, It's just simply too easy on the pitching side of things... Even A&S (who allows player ratings to heavily weigh-in on outcomes) has upped his pitching difficulty to HOF...

Dominate AS? Struggle on HOF? Hopefully you'll find your middle ground, but start your slider tweaking from HOF... you'll feel better about things in the end IMO

Again, it's always best to work your way up to a tougher slider set, than to trend in the other direction in dumbing your ability down to match a slider set.

I'm still a little TOO challenged on the hitting side of things with these sliders, but use "zone" (Mike uses Timing/Directional I believe). Tried upping the off-speed slider a notch, which is helping... I was falling ALL over myself when the off-speed stuff came.

Have some time to keep playing/testing until OSFM v2 comes out... not TOO far away from finding my slider "happy place"

Yeah definitely! Im on zone too. Normally its pitch speeds I used to suffer with. Would always be late on fastballs in previous iterations but this year I am finding I can actually get around on them without adjusting sliders which is a pleasant change. The key for me with zone is I only track ball on 2 strike counts and in all other counts I put the PCI in one spot (my version of guessing location) and leave it if its not there. Draw alot of walks this way too which is great. Doesn't hurt for me that I have the Jays lineup to mash around with

I use here sliders and tweaked them a bit as I still saw the CPU struggling simply when I pounded the zone, they weren't making pay for those mistakes. I brought the power to 6 and the timing to 3 and brought up the foul frequency and I have found a slight rise in difficulty. Gave up 3 runs last game to the Cardinals but they got guys on base and hit the ball hard.

We know you have an entire "15" season & many games this season under your bet, but do you see any slider tweaks coming?

              Thanks...

I'll start my franchise tomorrow as that's when osfmv2 comes out.

I'm headed back to Hawaii on Saturday though, so I'll have a brief hiatus for about a week.

Deciding now between the Orioles and Twins.

An I crazy for thinking of using SCEA rosters? It seems to me even the best roster makers can't clean up the glitches this year...

There's nothing wrong with using SCEA rosters if you're only in it for the short term (ie one season). If you're looking for a Franchise that you'd Carry-Over, you should go with OSFM.

That said, with OSFM already available, what would be the attraction of using SCEA rosters even if it's just for one season?

Birthplaces and careers stats are wrong for a lot of players still.

I'd go with SCEA as I sort of like the more fictional blending of minor leaguers, but the way SCEA ranks the Top 50 prospects seems odd--lots of guys 24-26 years of age, and other top ranked prospects rated in the low 50s and even 40s.

Going to be starting using v2.2 OSFM rosters, and doing a single team franchise (GM goals on) using the Baltimore Orioles!

I may stream later tonight, but will definitely be streaming tomorrow.

Alright, got my roster all fixed up and tidy! Going to be starting my Orioles franchise very soon with a stream. Going to go through and set the lineups, etc.

If you're curious how I start my franchise mode in regards to settings and how I sim through spring training with my fingers crossed on injuries, tune in!

Should be up in about 10-15 minutes.
