Re: Mike Lowe MLB Show '16 Sliders
I like the feel of these sliders my only issue is getting K's from my pitchers. I think the CPU makes too much contact in strikeouts situations. I get why you have the contact where it's at but the contact plus fouls at 0 to me is just a bad combo. I think if you did 10 games and calculated the BaBip , it would be very high for CPU. Just my opinionComment

Re: Mike Lowe MLB Show '16 Sliders
So I've been taking extremely detailed stats, and I've seen swing and miss percentages as high as 35%( thsts swing and misses per swing). So what I did is raise timing to 4, and foul to 1. This is just me personally, so it may be different for others. But I was getting to many strike outs and swing and missesComment

Re: Mike Lowe MLB Show '16 Sliders
Played 2 games of my Rays Franchise with new rosters. I'm literally fouling almost every pitch and am struggling to make contact and if I do make contact it is weak. Resembles the Rays in real life. As for pitching, Marcus Stroman threw a no-hitter while Chris Archer gave up 6 hits and struck out six. Next game Marco Estrada struck out 11 while Jake Odorizzi struck out 8. Blue Jays had 5 hits vs the Rays 4 hits.Comment

Tracking and adjusting for yourself is good. I am just getting settled back in after our trip, so will look to play some games soon with the latest patch, etc.@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

Re: Mike Lowe MLB Show '16 Sliders
Just for the AI. My user sliders are the exact same as the OP set. And for CPU I upped timing to 4 and fouls to 1. And I decreased CPU solid hits to 5. Now my swing and miss rate is closer to 20, and I'm still getting a good amount of strikeouts. Also I lowered fielder run speed to 3 to generate a little more offense, fast guys in the outfield are still fast, but it adds a few blooper hits here and thereComment

Re: Mike Lowe MLB Show '16 Sliders
Yeah I think so too, especially since everyone plays different. I created a little excel spreadsheet and I plug in the stats after every game. I do the basic stats, then go into the pitcher/batter stats tu get the fouls, misses, takes, grounders, ect.Comment

Re: Mike Lowe MLB Show '16 Sliders
Does anyone have any suggestions for limiting GIDPs?
I'm still running my test Franchise because I don't want to start my Carry-Over Franchise until the Morale issues are fixed (if they are). In nearly 80 games I've grounded into like 97 double plays while the next worst team has like 65.
Any thoughts?Comment

Using uppercut (Directional) swings w runners on base more often, especially w power hitters.
Using hit and runs in proper situations.@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

Yeah, I'm thinking that the issues with Auto Baserunning contributed to my numbers because I was afraid to hit-and-run, or steal at all, prior to the latest patch. Thanks.Comment

Re: Mike Lowe MLB Show '16 Sliders
So I've been doing a lot of work trying to get contact and foul rates right. The average swing and miss per swing is 20%. Average foul balls/balls in play is right around 48%, fouls/swing is 43%. Obviously this is pitcher dependent, as the top guys can be close to 30% swing and misses per swing and on the other end of the spectrum it's around 15%.
For me personally, at first, the OP sliders were good. But naturally as I got better at the game things needed changing. I was getting way to many strikeouts and swing and misses against the CPU. I currently have CPU timing at 5, and foul rate at 4. And with the user pitcher control at 0 this gave up too many runs and not enough strikeouts because a lot of balls ended up over the plate. So what I did was up user pitcher control to 3, allowing me to target the corners better, yet still giving up some bad pitches around the middle. This keeps the CPU swing snd miss rate at a good number, the fouls are looking good, and it gives you some nice 2 strike battles. And the pitcher control gives a good strikeout rate.
So Mike, just some food for thought. And some stuff I've been experimenting with. Thought I'd help out and try to make this a good HOF set. Huge thanks for posting your sliders that gave me a foundation to work onComment
