Just speaking for myself but I have it off because the AI will never do it (afaik), so it puts the user at an unfair disadvantage.

What slider could I bump up to make guys like Donaldson, Ortiz, Harper and so on more scary to pitch against? Every time I face someone that can hit one far I don't feel intimidated or anything.

Depends on how you are getting them out.

I mean, sure, you could just raise ALL the CPU sliders (except maybe foul freq.), but specifics will depend on how you render them moot most often.

Are you getting them to pop up too much? Strike out too much (given their abilities)? Etc.

I am striking them out more then anything. If not a strikeout they will pop them up or simple ground out. I am playing as the twins too so their Pitchers aren't exactly what I say good. I mean there been a few times they hit it far and deep but usually it is in front the wall or before the warning track. I think I average between 7-12 strikeouts a game. I am on all star pitching as well.

As I mentioned before, I am jumping down from HOF to AS on classic pitching and will be raising the CPU contact to 6. This is where I had it last year I believe and at times I also felt it could be easy so to tweak these sliders I'm going to move HUM Control and Consistency down to 2, that way I can't nibble so easily and then after that I'm done. No more changing sliders.

Raise contact to 6 or 7 and timing to the same. That should cut down on the K's.

You can also lower human control as well if you wanted as that's also a factor in K's.

Alright. Thanks dude! I'll try dozen or so games with the changes and I'll report back once I do that.[emoji3]

Alright I played about 7 games and will get some more in tomorrow. I changed Human control and consistency to 2, CPU power to 6. So far I lost 6 back to back games to the Tigers and Nationals. I saw more HR for sure and being punished more. Strikeouts dropped from like 13 to like 6-9 a game. My last game to finally win one I steamrolled the Astros 4-10 hitting a grand slam early on and from there my guys just lit them up. I did have 13 Strikeouts that game but it was just a pure dominance game for my team so not worried too much. I'll probably play around 20 games with the changes now and see how that goes! I am 13-14 as the twins[emoji39]

Are you guys getting many doubles? In particular, shots into the gap? When I use directional most of my hits are either home runs or singles. When I use zone I tend to find the gaps a lot more.

Is anybody seeing any differences with the patch after having some time with it? I played the first two games of a Yankee season and Altuve twice hit soft ground balls right at Gregorius at short that he beat both out for infield singles. I get Altuve is very fast out of the box but these are plays that need to be made, they were hit directly at him and they weren't choppers. Has anybody else seen this with the elite speedsters?

Hi Armor and guys. A couple of more quick questions with this set. I have API ON which is where my catcher calls for a certain locations and certain pitches he wants thrown. I'm trying more and more to throw where my catcher wants it. I normally pitch my own game and what I feel 90 % of the time. I'm pretty decent at pitching this way.... Should I start to listen to my catcher more ? When my catcher calls for certain pitches/locations.... does my catcher know the batters strengths and weaknesses ? What percent are you guys pitching on your own or threw the catcher ? Thanks in advance for any help out there !!
