Well....got my sliders for the year....holy cow guys....terrific hit variety, fielding variety and you can really tell the stars from the scrubs.

Sure....we all need sample size to know for sure....but from a feel standpoint, these are dead-on.

If I still suffer from Dynasty Restart Syndrome this year, it won't be because of the sliders

    Nicely done!

Armor I'm just wondering do you influence the direction of your swing or do you just swing?

I use directional tactically/situational. Most of the time I just swing.

Played my first game and it was good. I'll post game pics Tommorow. Quick question though, there is no option to turn off pitch callout, Pitch select, etc.. I'm missing a ton of those options.. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders

Started a practice franchise as Oakland using these sliders before I play as my Tigers once the OSFM rosters drop. Have to say, I am extremely pleased with the gameplay. I never play on All-Star or higher settings: it always seemed I got cheated out of things. By this is different so far. Three games into Spring Training, and I'm convinced this is the set for me already just the way it is.

First game: Oakland wins 2-1. Billy Butler hits a bomb in the second inning off starter Matt Shoemaker on a hanging curveball. Pujols ties it up the next half-inning off a 2-0 fastball that trailed over the heart of the plate from Chris Bassit. No more scoring until the top of the eighth inning, when Chris Coghlan hits a two-out double, and David Freeses knocks him in in with a two-out single to take the lead and the win.

Game two was brutal as we lost 7-0, but I expected it. Eric Surkamp started and got rocked. Four runs on seven hits in three innings, walking two and striking out none. And our offense was non-existent as we had the players fighting for roster spots playing in place of our starters.

The third game was a 4-2 loss, another one I was fine with. Mark Canha hit a two-run shot in the fifth for the only runs.

Now normally I feel cheated when I lose on these higher difficulties, but not in this case. Congratulations on the start of a great set of sliders, and I'm glad to have found them

I don't feel it is needed. The only slider some people adjust is the injury slider to default before doing any sim games.

I have always left them as is. Sim stats have looked very solid for me. And injuries realistic.

Didn't buy the game until last night - so first thing I did this morning was come on here to see if you all had released a set yet. Use them every year! First thing I'll do tonight is load them up, transfer my '87 Royals Franchise over and start rocking!

This year, holding R2 only shows the pitch location(s), not including the type, for the current at-bat and it doesn't seem like I can toggle through other 'screens' to get other info like timing, etc. Using the d-pad while holding R2 doesn't bring up any other information.

Am I missing something? Is there another way to access this info?

Go to the gameplay options. You use L1 and R1 to toggle between hitting, pitching, etc. Within each of those, you use L2 and R2 to toggle between general options and advanced options.

I turned pitch select display and swing/pitch info to "on" and it will show you the pitches in your current at bat when you press R2. there will also be a little box that appears in the bottom corner after each pitch showing your timing and location, pitch speed and speed of the hit ball if you make contact. But I can't find where you can toggle to see what happened during that players previous at bat like we could last year though

Great job as usual guys!!! I look forward to your sets, on any sports title. Also wanted to ask you a quick question about you carry over franchise. I know this is the slider thread, but I hate venturing out to the main board, and getting hit with a bunch of nonsense negatives. Did you see any issues with the personality traits of the players in the carry over franchise?
