Once my RF misplayed the ball on the hop and booted it allowing the runner to advance and another time where the fielder bobbled the ball on a grounder and the runner was safe and that too wasn't credited as an error.

I'm really enjoying the game so far in the limited time I've had to play, the feel is just much better then last years version, not sure how to explain it just the feeling when playing and what happens on the field is better then last years game. I have seen a couple weird things, highlight was a clear cut HR down the RF line in Houston that bounced off the top of the wall and landed down the tunnel in RF that was somehow called a foul ball which was nowhere near being such but other then that the game has played flawlessly using these sliders.

I am getting errors and they will happen. Trust me they will. And they are being credited. So far I personally have not run into the error bug of them not being recorded. I do know there is an issue and it has been widely reported some errors not recording officially.

I am going to bump CPU contact up to 6 and test it myself. I do want to fear the CPU more. Going to keep their power at 4 though.

Personally for my own hitting settings, I love exactly where they are and they are perfect for my level of hitting. I am having no issues hitting. Some nights great, some good, some nights...blech. Exactly like I want.

Armor, did you start with the original OSFM rosters and then download v 1.5 and start over?

Last night was a rough one for me and my braves. I lost 3 straight and my pitchers got shelled in two of the three games. My team has went into a slump hitting the ball. I had won 8 of 10 and now have lost 5 of 6. Damn I love this game.

Yes I used the edited default no injuries version of OSFM 1.5 and restarted (check the OP for Roster endorsements which will be updated throughout the year with classic rosters and the forth coming OSFM Hybrid).

My personal choice is to play with default contracts (just edited for correct years left).

I mentioned this earlier but might as well make it a point again as it seems like a hot topic. I have human and CPU contact at 6, power at 4, and solid hits at 5. However, I have human pitching control/consistency at 2. It definitely helps. Your elite pitchers will still paint the corners but average pitchers can't consistently do that. You will throw some meatballs and walks guys. The CPU's offense will be more fearsome. You will feel it when a guy is slipping and starting to lose it. I definitely have to manage my bullpen much more. Too often my starters would at least go into the 7th so my bullpen never felt taxed. Now sometimes I have to bring a bullpen guy who might have thrown 2-3 days in a row. He's tired. He's a little wild. Leads to more CPU offense! Game is freaking amazing guys! And last night Duda dropped a routine pop up just like Luis Castillo did against the Yankees, uuuuugh! Errors happen!

I play Full Games and I haven't had any issues with the SP or RP being used incorrectly. In fact, I get near perfect results by having the hook slider at 2 and then changing to 7 once the CPU goes to the bullpen.

I am going to test your exact pitching and CPU hitting settings (but in stages) as I am starting to feel the same way about the CPU being a little less fearsome. I am 2 games over .500 but I want more fear and more challenge with my pitching and this may be the right cocktail.

First I will start with CPU contact at 6, Power 4, Solid Hits 4 and adjust my human pitcher consistency and control to 2.

                      My own hitting sliders at

                      5 - Contact
                      4 - Power
                      4 - Solid Hits

                      Feel perfect for my taste.

Great feedback and contributions my man. Stay tuned.

Now that is an interesting strategy.

Last night was the first time I felt they left in a reliever a little too long. But it was their LRP and he did a great job. So how can I question that? Also the move was absolutey right IMO as I had a lefty come up following the double.

Played a great game vs the Pirates last night in my Yankees chise, went into extras (13 innings I believe). Tanaka vs Cole.

Cole went 6 strong and came out for the 7th inning but I had a lead off double that was smoked. The Pirates went to the pen (at this point they were leading 4-3) They brought in Wade LeBlanc (can be a starter as well) and he gave up a hit which scored the guy from second (Castro). He proceeded to shut me down the rest of the way. In fact the bullpen shut me out from thast point on and I lost 5-4 in extras.

But that is an interesting way of thinking to just simply click up hook to 7 to possible get a more realistic AI bullpen management.

How many games have you been doing this. I don't think the AI bullpen management in full count games has been off. In fact it's been better than ever in the past.

But just curious. I am always looking to make the game as sim as possible with AI management.

                        Thanks for the feedback!

I have been doing this for quite some time. Mike Lowe first mentioned it, so I gave it a try and the CPU Bullpen management was even better. I have been torn between changing it to 7 or 8 and settled on 7, but 8 also worked very well. They have actually brought a RP in to face one batter (lefty on lefty) and then relieving him after the one batter faced. Im not a huge fan of changing sliders mid game, but this is something that has definitely added to the realism.....Again, all credit goes to Mike Lowe in finding this. One other thing Mike Lowe is doing is using 30 team control and moving teams LRP to a MRP spot. This has helped in the overusing of LRP in sim games....thus creating better sim player stats.

Well with cpu contact on 6 and solid hits and power at 5 I have definitely seen more runs. My only issue is the computer is hitting way too many home runs. What are you guys ranked in home runs allowed? I'm thinking of dropping power back to 4 but I like solid hits at 5

I have a lot of respect for Mike Lowe. One of the great guys here in the community.

I am going to try this stuff out. That sounds awesome.
I agree. I owe my entire ability to find sim baseball on this game to following yours and Mike Lowe's advice. Much respect. Well, I am going to try the contact at 6 and power/solid hits at 4 as well but wont get to play until tonight when everyone is in bed. So, please post your impressions after you were able to try it out, sir.
