I really am enjoying v4.0! Only one game in and definitely can tell how much better the game is playing with these sliders.

The only thing that I'm kind of confused with is the idea to raise the base stealing ability. It was at 6 before and now raised to 7. I'm currently sitting at 3-9 in my franchise (struggling with hitting big time, but I'm also the White Sox, so...), and I'm last or second to last in every hitting category besides base stealing. I currently lead the majors at 17 stolen bases with the next highest being 9, and I've never been thrown out yet. Stealing seems ridiculously easy this year, and I feel like my runners get perfect jumps every single time. I hold the L2 button down, and time it and let go as soon as the pitcher starts his motion, but I've noticed that sometimes I'll be late but the runner will take off before I let go anyway.

Beyond that, great update. I am digging it for sure!

Well I ended up getting the time to play one game. Started a new franchise with these new sliders and with the OSFM 1.75. Expected a tight game against Teheran who I always struggle to hit against. Ended up beating the hell out of him and won the game 12-1. Had 19 hits. WHOA. On opening day no less. An easy home opener. I'll take it!

Just played 5 franchise games with 4.0. I did QM but entered game every time I got a runner on base. As I said on last version, at bats are on point. It feels real. You can really work the count if patient, but a good pitcher can really paint those corners. Just feels great.

Now, it's only 5 games, but I'm not sold yet on when the bat actually hits the ball. I got alot of at bats in the games I played. Lots of green swings with good timing on pitches either in or right bear the middle, but it was either a ground out, a pop fly, or a home run about 90% of the balls I put in play. In 5 games, I hit 4hrs (power seems about right), 2 singles up the middle, and one that somehow got by the first baseman. I just didn't see any hit variety in this small sample size. I knew if I made contact it was either gonna be a grounder, or a fly out. Now one thing I noticed is that outfielders cover ground very fast. There were a few hits that I though were hit hard enough to outrun the outfielders, but they caught up with it fairly easily. I'm gonna put it about 15 or 20 more games tonight and tomorrow and only thing about maybe dropping fielder speed one notch and see what happens. Either way, I'm digging these so far. Seriously, the pitcher/batter duel is sublime.

Are we still putting manager hook at 7 once the bullpen becomes involved or did it seem to work well at 5 regardless of SP or RP in the game?

Gotcha, that makes sense. I wasn't sure if you were basing the increase by stats from around the league or your own team's stats. I think that I'll tune that slider just a tad but keep the rest all where you have it. It really is playing good!

No...leave it at 5 all the time. It’s great.

On quick manage leave it at 2 and if you enter the game and the bullpen is in for the CPU move the slider up to 5.

Sounds good, just wanted to make sure going forward. First game with the changes and I've hit 3 HR's in Oakland but Paxton also struggled badly giving up 7 runs over 5 IP. I was down 6-1 heading into the top of the 3rd and somehow managed to score 5 runs to tie it at 6, been a crazy and wild game so far but nothing seems off in the least as Oakland can't locate anything and is leaving pitches up.

How long should I wait to increase human and cpu contact? I almost completed a month in my franchise with Yankees. I have by far the worst BA in league (but lead in home runs) and by far have the best team ERA. I think in have given up 26 less hits than the next best team. I believe I am about 7 points worse in BA than the next worse. Should I see how the next month goes or should I start bumping some contact up?

I noticed that you are endorsing the Hybrid rosters on the first page. Do you plan to create a slider set for the Hybrid roster? Player ratings are modified so there may be a need to adjust the slider setting a bit.
