Is that patch tomorrow as in Weds or Tues (I'm in UK so it's already tomorrow lol).

The other patches have dropped around 3 AM Pacific Time here in the US so from that you should be able to figure out what time where you are.

1.06 is scheduled for 3 AM Pacific Time on the morning of Tuesday, May 9th.

Waiting for v2 hybrid 40 man roster now lol!

Testing has commenced post patch 1.06

I don’t expect any changes at all to the slider set.

My hope is they cleaned up the minor but highly annoying OSD bugs (divisional standings and walks showing as K’s when they talk about pitchers walk problems during the game) and Matty V commentary errors with my Yankees perpetually stuck on 10 wins after every win I get this season LOL.

Other than that I did not see anything major in the notes. I am going to focus on the minor various bug fixes under the MISC section and see if I notice anything.

On another note. I DL and throughly checked out the Hybrid Roster V1. These guys pour a ton of work into this.

After looking it over with a comb....I am not interested in it as I disagree with many many re-rate decisions. Too many to list, and quite frankly it is not something to discuss in here. Quite simply if you are a hybrid roster lover, make the edits you do not agree with yourself.

For me it would be far too much work and quite frankly I like SCEA’s ratings a lot better than this years Hybrid.

What I would love to see is a strictly pitch edit roster, but leaving the SCEA ratings in tact (other than pitch edits of course). So an OSFM V2 with pitch edits only. I played with one of those back on MLBTS15 and it was amazing.

For those who use the Hybrid roster have a blast. They do incredible work. But it is not my “cup of tea” this cycle.

Not related to your sliders but I wanted to ask if it takes forever to download patches for you? I have a fast connection and this patch is taking an hour plus to download. It's only 600mb. Thanks

I'm gonna stream another game, this one with CPU pitching sliders at 5-5-5 and wind back at default. I have a hard time believing wind is causing the HR issue, with it at 3 I still hit 7 HR's in 3 games and that was without Nelson Cruz as you all know. Sliders are identical to Armor's minus the 5-5-5 setup vs his 4-5-3, as always link is in my sig.

What was your thoughts on 5-5-5? I tried to watch your stream at work yesterday, but it kept freezing on me here.

Only 9 games played yesterday in the RL Major leagues. I was looking at box scores this morning and there were 24 homers hit yesterday not one game without one. A couple of guys hit 2 just saying I'm not sure what we are looking for here. The game is playing great for me with over 80 games total with these sliders since the beginning. They are hitting home runs at a record pace in the bigs this year..

The sliders are set exactly like the OP. The only thing I do different is pitch on HOF. Made this change last year and have stuck with it as you fear every hitter more. I Just started a fantasy draft franchise and sit 6-6. I got beat 10-2 last night with Colon getting shelled. The game before I pitched 8 2 hit shutout innings with Alex Reyes who got shelled his self in his first start.

Miguel Sano has been on fire for me hitting 10 homers in his first 12 games. It happens! I also just placed him on the 10 day DL for shoulder strain. No one else on my team has over 3 homers and Rizzo has struggled hitting only 1 so far I tried to draft power because I am the Orioles. I am hitting .268 19 hr 23 2b 1 3b 3 sb been caught 3 times in 12 games. The game is the best it has ever been gentleman just play!!

- Awesome stuff Vols. I am making the switch to HOF pitching as well. I have mastered Classic Pitching on All-Star and it is time to move up. I am not fearing hitters like I should, I feel like I can do whatever I want on All-Star Classic pitching. Even with vibration off and ball marker off....I am pitching too good this year and I felt this way most of last season, but wanted confirmation on this years game. Time to move up. I am not changing the sliders one iota either.

- I am using the ones you see on the OP the OSFM 1.5 40 Man/No Injuries roster. It is a great roster to use. i wanted no real life pre-existing injuries. My universe, my own story-lines is my attitude on franchise mode.

So in my 2017 Yankees franchise we are rolling. I officially benced Jacoby Elsbury and Aarron Hicks is now our new starting CF. Vs lefties he will lead off and vs righties he will hit 9th. Gardy will flip flop with him in the order respectively.

I am actively shopping Elsbury and have seen 7 different offers. One of them was very interesting. The Cardinals offered Adam Wainwright straight up. As we all know Wainwright is 35 and in the last year of his contract. The Angels offered up Ben Revere.

So some thinking to do as we review the 7 offers I saw. I generated those by putting Elsbury in the trade screen and pressed find offers (square button).

Really cool feature in the trade screen to view several different options and look for a fair deal that makes sense, or a deal that is close, but can be edited. Since it is 30 team control I can accept the deal from the other side. That is why I love 30 team control. I can create a storyline trade and execute it. I do not cheese/fleece the CPU. I make it realistic and fair.

Jacoby has worn out his welcome in the Bronx. he has struggled mightly as my lead off hitter, his arm is below average for a CF, and his speed on the base paths is now merely ok. He has been caught stealing too often and has killed some innings. I wish it would have worked out.....but it was not meant to be.

Hicks in his debut as the official new starting CF went 3-5 with a 4RBI's including a 3R HR, and lead off double to begin the game and eventually scored on a sac fly from Gary Sanchez. And he is a beast in the field.

What was your thoughts on 5-5-5? I tried to watch your stream at work yesterday, but it kept freezing on me here.

It's pretty solid but it will for sure magnify the poor hitters in your lineup. Last night playing at Toronto I had 2 hits through 9 innings but managed to get into extras tied at 2, the game went 14 innings and I still didn't finish with double digit hits. The game before that the bottom 4 of my lineup went a combined 0/13 which hurt my offense badly. The good hitters still hit but the bad ones really struggle like it should be.

The CPU will hit more corners but their strike percentages aren't out of whack. The last 3 games the CPU SP's had strikes thrown percentages of 61%, 63.5% and 50% with the last one being Liriano.

I like it personally but some won't as the CPU doesn't hang very many pitches and if you don't capitalize when they do you can struggle. Last game I didn't capitalize and didn't hit a HR at all that game which is the first time that's happened in 20 games easy. If you give it a shot let me know how it goes, I'll be sticking with it, now when I face a guy with solid control it shows and when I face someone with terrible control, ie. Liriano, it shows as well.

I just had the CPU pitch a complete game for the first time and it was Yovani Gallardo? He was dealing changing speeds I could only manage 5 hits against him. Kind of embarrassing..Lol 1st game post patch..

Nope. I have literally played over 75 games inside franchise and season mode since the game dropped. Playing every pitch, every AB.

I can count on my 5 fingers times I have questioned the CPU manager......to me...there is absolutely no problem with full counts since day one. Quick Counts had issues and it was fixed on 1.05.

Today in my game the Royals pulled Danny Duffy after 5 IP 8H 2BB 4ER He did not have great stuff. A WHIP of 2.00. That is ineffective pitching.

In the 6th they put in LRP Minor who I proceeded to shellack in his 2nd and 3rd innings pitched. This was game 3 of a 3 game set and I swept them. I chalked that up to a white flag response from the Royals and not wanting to dig into their bullpen anymore once the game got way out of reach.

I have not seen highly questionable early pulls in 94% of my games played. I would say there is no problem.

This game feels incredible and I keep saying it, but we finally got a next gen (PS4 generation) baseball game. AS great as MLB 16 was for me (and it was) this game is on a completely different level in terms of hitting realism and fielding realism.

It really is a stark contrast. And I can't say enough great things about the ball physics and fielding animations coupled with the humanity AI.

This really feels like real baseball. The kind I actually played on the field for 42 years and counting.

Third game today after the patch and it seems as if the balls in the dirt thing has been fixed. Haven't had a single runner for myself or the CPU be able to advance like before.

Awesome.... Well I'm loving this game like you (although I'm coming from someone who has never played the sport). I don't see the problems that I have read about either... Think I ought to stay away from certain parts of the forum. Well just about to play a game with latest edits and the hybrid roster to give it a go
