I don't think the PCI is moving at all with timing. It seems to stay dead center in the feedback each time. Only the size and color changes.

What's the strategy of using contact button (O),Normal button (X) and power button (Square)? I keep using X but I rarely get any hits and I've played about 10 games so far? Any help on how I should use the different buttons?

I am curious to know this as well, as I play with quick counts.

I'm assuming we don't need to modify anything, as a pitch count is a pitch count--regardless of whether or not we actually 'see' the pitches.

        What say you, A&S?

I am no expert, but I using the sliders as is with pitch counts on has produced just fine results for me so far

            Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 17 Timed/Classic Simulation All-Star Slider

How much does hitting with Zone and Wedge mess with these sliders? That's what I used in 16 and what I use for online play so I kind of want to stick with it. I only got 16 like 2 weeks ago so I don't have a ton of games to go on but I thought my hitting was okay maybe just a tad too easy.

Well I just tried using these sliders in 17 in a Marlins franchise. First actual real games against the CPU outside of RTTS. First inning I had 2 singles (one with Yelich and Bour). Second inning I had back-to-back solo homers with Realmuto and Prado. Third inning I had a single with Stanton then a 2-run shot with Bour. This all with some hits peppered in as well.

I just saved the game at that point to see what the opinion on here was. Obviously it's just one game, 3 innings at that, and the Marlins have some offensive potential...

But does the zone hitting with wedge really affect it that much? I know with the pitching, with the ball marker on I can pitch no hitters. With it off, I have trouble not walking people and I give up plenty of hits and homers. It's night and day. Is it the same with the hitting and using your settings?

If I remember right it's always been that way. You don't see it moving with timed hitting... but when you look at swing results feedback you can see it really did.
I just now got home with my copy so I don't know if same this year or not.

Been using these since either 13 or 14, don't remember, although I do use them with quick counts without any adjustments and everything seems to work fine for me. They are always absolutely amazing and give the game the most realistic feel possible, and love the aspect of letting the ratings do the talking rather than my personal skill.

Out of the box on Tuesday I immediately plugged in the 16 sliders just as a base and noticed a few things that I changed: don't need as high of a wind slider this year w new physics, and w new fielding animations don't need fielders to be so slow.

Played 6 games so far and have gotten scores of 6-5 (L), 3-2 (W), 4-1 (L), 4-3 (L), 15-3 (W) and 6-4 (L). Getting very realistic box scores and playing the game feels absolutely flawless. Will plug in your updated 17 sliders as soon as I get home.

QUESTION: I haven't noticed a difference in pitch speeds in 17 vs 16, yet you have the fastball speed at 5 and off speed at 7 whereas in 16 you had them at 3 and 5, respectively. What am I missing?

Glad you're back at it again Armor!

Just a comment on the recent changes regarding CPU manager hook. Was playing PIT (me) @ PHL (cpu) and I was down 0-1 in the 8th inning with Neris pitching for the Phils. He already has thrown 7 pitches coming in and then proceeds to give up a HR after getting the first out. At this point, I was expecting a change but it never came. He then finished the inning with 32 pitches total after giving up a double, an IBB, and a RBI single. Just thought you should know that it was odd seeing him not getting replaced. Will continue to play more with this setting at 4 and will try to get back to you but I'm sure you're doing your own too. Thanks again for the sliders!

For me on the PS4 Pro and a 4K TV with the incredible framerate I am seeing the ball far better now and felt a lot more comfortable with fastball at default 5 and change up at 7 (I felt changeup were unrealistically too slow for me at default this year).

Enjoy the game, it is a gem!!!!

Yep.....after some test games last night, I am going back to hook at default and lowering Starter Stamina for Human to 6. I like it at 6 for the CPU and this season I can already feel after 12 games that starter stamina has been tuned better.

One click up is perfect for me. It allows true horses to be that and I am seeing really awesome higher pitch counts with it at 6 for the CPU. If you really work the counts this season, you will get such a great simulation. Walks can be drawn, and staters can be stressed if you are patient.

Played a solid amount of games last night in my RTTS, i would close to 20 games and I'm loving the sliders! I've gotten a complete variety of games where I've gone 4-4 to 0-5 with 4 K's. Now my plate discipline is terrible but getting better. Didn't hit my first HR till game 10-13. I liking how the sliders effect the attributes of players even with the CPU players. Great job and keep up the good work fellas!

I'm not sure about 16, but in 17 only the swing feedback for CPU shows PCI movement. The HUM feedback only shows timing and a centered PCI with color changes depending on timing.

I love the sliders man. They are producing some great games. The only thing I changed is fouls. I know fouls at 3 are creating accurate 7-8 pitch sequences, but I hate a lot of fouls, so I had to change it haha.

                                Thanks for the sliders.
