Thoughts? We could up either contact or solid hits for users, but curious what other's are getting for BABIP first. I faced two very tough SP, and lost both games by 1 run. Don't want to overreact to anything.

I'm starting my braves franchise with all of your sliders except solids at 6. I also think I have your old settings on arm strength and baserunner speed as I liked the way they played (4, 4, 3). I'm starting off against Thor, de Grom and Harvey (rated 92, 93 and 86) so I don't expect much!

Will let you know once I'm in Pittsburgh and will try and track my babip more accurately as I go

I think I might try a couple games tonight with both CPU and Human Solid Hits at 6. The BABIP and scoring has been kinda low on both sides. Maybe this will get the offense going more for the computer and myself.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

Right - first game in the books, shutout 1-0!

Mainly I think due to poor patience on my part...my misses+k % was 42%!

All the pitching strike % were perfect. My babip was .250, cpu was .200. They scored on a solo hr by Duda on a hanging slider. No problem with that, terrible pitch.

However, it was Teheran vs Syndergaard so...irl they both threw 6 shutout innings...

After game 2 (3-0 up top of the 9th, lost 4-3 in the bottom of the 10th walk off) I definitely feel there's something in Solid Hits for the CPU at 6...same strikeouts/misses/fouls etc, but it felt a bit more of a challenge and you are more cautious about missing in the zone! Also, all four of their runs scored not on home runs!

A curious side effect of Solid 6 for user is I've lost hit variety. Have started game three in the series and I've started actually hitting (could be getting my eye in, could be upping timing slightly!) but I've hit 14 consecutive singles (having hit a couple of doubles early in game 1 at timing 4, solids 5). I've been ripping balls hard, through the infield, or lining to the gap but having them cut off by the outfielders - haven't got anything near the walls. Wonder if the line drive element is linked directly to the solid hits - it does say something about line drives in the slider description.

Separately, I haven't hit a home run since I lowered power to 1 in my test franchise but I've seen you guys say you're seeing HRs so that's probably more my lack of skill in squaring up the ball than anything else.

So my conclusion, might look to increase contact and lower solid hits back to your set, see if I start doubling and homering again!

I don't like tinkering this much so will roll with the following for a bit, and then I'll post back:
        Human Contact - 6
        Human Power - 1
        Human Timing - 4
        Human Foul Frequency - 5
        Human Solid Hits - 5

            Mike...

When I was complaining about how hard these sliders were, I was using the Marlins during the test franchise... Scherzer & Strausburg (especially) completely shut me down. SP's with high fastball ratings & 4-5 offerings are TOUGH!

You'll have easier upcoming games against Ross, Harvey (NYM) & because my testing came before Ridin's rosters dropped... Lugo (NYM). The stats started leveling out after Lugo's start after hitting 3 HR's (including a 490' Stanton bomb with power @ 1)

Minor adjustments may be needed? They're playing great as is IMO...

How are these sliders doing in road to the show are there any changes you would make for it?

You'll have to check every day though, as on auto teams will adjust someone back into that role once they've had a need for it.

Only takes about 20 seconds to adjust each calendar day, and is a much better workaround than continually rotating someone there each month. Too much to keep track of!

Scores are 3-2, 3-0, 3-2. All three wins for me.

I have no idea where to find BABIP but I can share those with you if you point me in the right direction.

Do you need to use 30 team control to do this? I was trying to avoid having to change the other teams' rosters.

Hmmm the new ones are actually 4 4 2 just so you know. I would not use 3 for baserunner speed. 2 still cuts some plays at 1B close.

So what I think you're getting at is no pitcher should be in the LR slot?

My pen should look like this...

                              LR Empty
                              MR De La Rosa
                              MR Bradley
                              MR Chafin
                              MR Delgado
                              SU Hoover
                              SU Wilhelmsen
                              CL Rodney

And Im doing 30 team Franchise, should I do this for all 30?

So after that tough 3 game set at Citi field my Braves have:
                                22 hits, 1 double, 0 triples, 0 hrs, 4 runs scored...

I'm missing the hit variety, but everything else is right! It's weird!
