Is there a way to set different sliders for sim and gameplay? Or do you just keep the sim set and adjust them to gameplay set at the beginning of your user played games?

Yep, that's exactly how I suggest handling it.

Got to say, really nice slider mate. I thought they looked a little out there, but then I tried them and they worked very nicely, obviously I tweaked them a little bit to suit what I'm good and bad at, but kept the balance the same and they worked out pretty nicely. 3-0, 4-3 then 3-1 in my first 3 games of the season with a total of 4 homers between the two teams in those games, each teams averaging maybe 7 hits a game and a few walks, felt about right. Starters all pitched 6 innings or close to that, being allowed to get out of jams and being pulled at the right time, CC went 8 against me in the last game before handing it off to Chapman in the 9th.

I was wondering, what sliders do you recommend for the default outside of games? I like these for in game, but I imagine I'll need another set for the computer simming games otherwise the HR totals will be very low and half of baseball will retire injured

Thanks, Oscar! To answer your question, there are only a few sliders which impact simulated games. Those sliders are indicated as to how you should change them while simming (in parentheses). Make sure you adjust before the first pitch of a played game, and then back again after your game/advancing to the next day. The injury slider itself does also impact simmed games, but 9 works well for both simmed and played games.

The game actually simulates the current day as soon as you "advance to next game," so keep that in mind. The only other time games will be simmed is if you advance the day entirely, not entering a game yourself.

So having computer power at 1 won't cause the entire league to hit like Dee Gordon in the simmed games between the other computer teams? The top guys will still hit 30-40 homers?

I played a couple games with these sliders last night and was struggling so bad on offense, I was starting to think this set was too hard for me.

Then I get on today and hit 3 homers with Kris Bryant in one game LOL. Man I love the way the game plays with these sliders.

Also I play with classic pitching so I bumped up Human pitcher control to 5 and pitcher consistency to 3, and im seeing very good first pitch strike % and strike to ball % if anyone wants to try it out.

                Thanks Mike!

Yeah, I started my Indians 'chise last night after OSFM dropped. Played 3 games and with the exception of Brantley, I could hit anything. I got shutout in the first 2 games. In the 3rd game, I was able to string together some hits and pitched great with Salazar and won 5-1. Only had 1 bomb and it was from Encarnacion and it was only 407 ft (maybe the lowered power slider is working with the mammoth blasts we've been seeing).

Anyway, I find these sliders to be tough but it forces me to focus if I want to get my offense going. I keep saying I'm gonna go with another set but a lot of the others are too easy for me and I get realistic results with these (which is what I ultimately want). I've played a bunch of exhibition games with these sliders before starting my franchise and they have been fun and tested my patience lol. It's gonna make my franchise a challenge for sure with the pressure now on the Tribe to make it back to October. I'm gonna have to bear down, concentrate, and work the counts to be successful, just like real baseball. I might tinker with a few sliders to fit any discrepancies, but so far so good.

Thanks for the challenging slider set, Mike. I'm one of those that hesitated to move on from AllStar to HOF, but the challenge has made it fun and I'm glad I did. I'll keep grinding in my chise and pop in occasionally to stay updated on changes or to offer some feedback.

This is me as well, i was also using some sets that seemed easy overall, and Mikes hall of fame sliders really test your patience and approach to each bat. it also makes the game really feel like a real ball game, in my first game in my franchise i lost 5-0 and only calculating a whopping (1) hit to Texas, everything else were either ground outs or pop ups. They had Darvish on the mound who is very tough. and we had Klubber who pitched well, he actually had a no hitter going into the bottom of the 7th until fatigue actually kicked in and i was force to open the pen. there was only 1 home run the whole game and Texas achieved that.

Overall it was a frustrating game (sorta) but yet still so amazingly fun at each (bat) because i feel i didn't have enough patience and was not seeing the ball well. as my season goe's on i will continue to monitor the thread for changes if any, but these feel awesome and once i get to advancing some offense, confidence will grow. thats the one awesome thing in this game that make sets like this so incredible, the VARIETY of pitchers and style's you will face!

ty for an awesome set Mike.

Marlins drop a close one 4-3 after Scherzer pitches around 120 pitches to get the win.

                              Marlins BABIP .240
                              Nationals BABIP .390
                              Stanton HR (460+ feet)
                              Nationals 2 2Bs
Foul %s, swings and miss %s, etc all look excellent.

Lots of coverage and slider chat on that game's stream.

They will be very challenging. That's not to say you shouldn't consider them, but practice mode should be your friend right now too!

Give dynamic difficulty a try and see where you land?
