Thanks, we're pretty close to that. Effective pitching allows for CPU power to be a bit higher.

      Really digging these Mike.
I got in 3 games with your set last night, all 3 games as the Reds.
I am waiting on a good Reds Roster and I will start my season.
First game I lost to the Cardinals 6-4.
Second game I beat the Brewers 10-8.
And the 3rd game I lost to the Dodgers 2-1.
As you can see 3 very different types of games, loving it so far!

        Loving these sliders.

I've been using them since last yr with analog for both hitting and pitching. Took me a while to get a hang of hitting but I think I'm coming around, still run into slumps tho.

Question: do you have any experience pitching and hitting using the analog interface and do you have any adjustments that may be needed to compensate?

Still not sure about CPU starter stamina, or maybe manager hook. Played vs Wainwright last night and they replaced him heading to the 7th with 90 pitches in a 1-1 tie. Not a pinch hitter situation either.

              Mike and Jello:

using the end of year OSFM from 16, I found that sim stats are almost exact and BP is great ratio of G/IP. the sliders are:

              starter stamina - 8

              reliever sta. - 0

              manager hook - 6

              injury - 8

numbers for SP with 200-IP + and 170-IP + were almost exact to 2016.

league wide ERA was almost exact for last three yr. avg.

CG's were 101 compared to 83 in real MLB in 16.

give it a shot, if you may.

Is this during the first month of the season or so? The game will baby SP a lot in the early season, just like in real life.

Yes! It was a replay of yesterday's Cubs/Cards. Thank you for confirming that the game does restrict pitch counts early in the season. I've been wondering about that.

I'm now starting to track BABIP, and it seems were a bit low, and thanks to you all sharing your feedback, I feel this has a lot to do with our defensive settings more than anything.

This is one of the reasons we're seeing most runs being scored via HR.

Stay tuned for an update. We're looking really good though.

And I read rosters will be out this weekend. Hopefully Friday!

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

Updated the first post, and really tried to incorporate a lot of the feedback I've received, as well as comparing it against actual data. Quite a few changes, and the goal is to make the AI tougher and for more hit variety between hits that are not just homeruns.

We're still in a bit of a feeling out phase. I say a bit because the results are already really damn good, thanks to all of us communicating via this thread, private message, etc.

                        Keep it up!

By the way, here is a nice BABIP calculator you can use.
Batting Average on Balls in Play (BABIP) is used to evaluate a batter (or pitcher’s) average on balls that go into play. A batter with a higher BABIP is seen as a better batter.

Mike... I can use Veteran as my hitting level, correct? Difficulty level shouldn't matter.

I have solid hits at 2 and I see runs scored in realistic ways. cpu power/timing/contact all @ 6

Really? That would surprise me some, simply based on how large the PCI gets. It will definitely skew the results, probably on both sides (Hum and CPU).

I'm just guessing about the difficulty level, you're probably right.
