Settings are set at what's currently on first page. Solid hits at 7 for Hum and 5 for CPU, hum pitch control at 2 and CPU at 5.

My guys averages are starting to come up but if I notice them stalling, I might give this a try.

Regarding the errors sliders bump, Playing CIN in an interleague game, 1st inning, my second batter, Winkler misplayed a soft liner in LF that ended up going over his head and rolling to the wall. 2 batters later, I ground to 3rd and Suarez throws home to get the runner and makes an offline throw bringing the catcher off the plate. I'm only in the 2nd inning so I'll see how errors play out the rest of the way.

I have all my errors at 7 right now. 0 total per game for three game.

Might be nice to have an error tuning thread for everyone.

With everyone's BABIP being low, I used v1.9 with only a chance to All Star hitting from HoF. Even left solid hits at 7.

Other changes I mentioned above to CPU power and errors

I won 8-3, both teams hit 1 HR.

        My BABIP was .310!
Theirs was .309 or something like that (forget now).

The other measurables still looked great. So maybe there's something here w the switch to All Star.

I will say, outfield errors at 8 for fielding is too high. Let's use 7

I'll update the post to v1.10 once I hear more about user offense for you all.

Updated to v1.10. We should now be seeing better BABIP for the user, more errors, and a bit more of a threatening AI while batting.

If you're BABIP/offense is too high while batting, try dropping human solid hits down a notch or two.

Interested to see if you draw enough walks on all star with cpu control and strike frequency at 5. Previously I've always found they POUND the zone on all star so you have to alter one or the other accordingly. Perhaps with the lower consistency value it'll even out?

AS batting? What the hell? I leave this forum alone for 2-days & the wheels fall off!!! (Haha)

Maxed out user contact, power, solid hits, wind & lowered hitting to veteran a few weeks ago while testing wing effects. After testing I re-loaded an earlier slider set of yours but forgot to re-up hitting to HOF & played a few games... I was pleasently surprised how well the game played on even veteran hitting.

AM curious to see how this playes out with my "opening day" being pushed back a bit

Really enjoying how these are playing on h o f. Still have hum power on 2 as otherwise I just feel I'm being cheated on certain hard hit balls. Have also upped cpu timing to 3 and cpu power to 2 and solid hits to 6 as am top of the league in era hits and hr allowed.

Only problem I am having is strikeouts. Since moving to all star I have struck out once in each game. I guess it's a plate coverage thing with zone. If I was on directional it might be a different story...

ONLY 2 random games W/I a test franchise & I've k'd only once. The PCI (although turned off) is too large in AS IMO...

DO like a few AS eliments (fly balls feeling a bit more "lofty") but all in all HOF presents a more accurate sim or at LEAST a more true challenge for ME...

                  Again, it's early...

I think I had like 7 or 8 walks that particular game.

                      Mike,

Played my first game with these set on AS hitting and the 1.10 changes. I liked what I saw with hitting. The Pirates outhit me 16-7 (Braves). I did not strike out 13-18 times as usual this game and felt good with the timing. I had 2 homeruns with Freddy Freeman, 358 and a 402 wall scraper to center. Looking at the stats you were trying to replicate, most of these were spot on for me.

60% first pitch strikes: Me: 73%, CPU: 55%
                      62% ball:strike ratio, but 65-68% for higher-end pitchers: Me 66%, CPU 68%
                      .300 team BABIP (BABIP calculator)
15% foul balls per total pitches ME: 16% CPU 13%
21% swings and misses per total number of swings (misses plus strikeouts)
                      Me: 20% CPU: 18%

Only issues I had and first time I've seen this. Pirates substituted Allen Hanson to C in inning 8. He is not a C. He had 1 error and 4 passed balls in the inning which allowed me to tie up the game. I'm sure this is more of an AI issue, but changes to errors seemed to work well in that case.

This is all good feedback. I'm still dwelling on the proper balance of AS vs HoF.

I think your setting of lower human power is a good idea. Getting BABIP at ~.300 is difficult with most "hits" being homeruns.

All my games played are inside my Indians franchise. Now I know these aren't from your sliders but some are similar.

But through 13 games played in my season (played a ton before before on test chise and exhibition games) my BABIP is a bad .275 while the cpu is .318.

I like your power lowered for user with solid hits raised. I'm going to try solid hits at 7 with hum power at 3 for a while and see what happens. I play with directional hitting and classic pitching if that matters...

Some boxscores from Mike Sliders 1.9. While i get a pretty standard number of HR's ( except for the game with Jays ), i haven't a double or a triple. I play with manual fielding. This set play nice on defense but i feel the lack of power on my bats with human power set to 0. It's like i never get the feeling of a hard hit.

Cardinals vs Pirates ( me ). It was the best 1.9 game stats wise. Too bad i forgot to reset the CPU Manager Hook to 7 so Wainwright left after 4 innings.
