The new ball physics are amazing but why try to make the game more realistic when everyone hits 500+ home runs and every ball in the dirt means the runner is going to advance. It feels more like an arcade game at this point. I've sincerely tried all of the sliders and the results are the same. Modifying the power and wind sliders don't help at all. Power on 0 and wind on 0 and the ridiculous home runs continue. Multiple sub-par defenders making 2-3 diving catches a game. I have yet to see one error. Etc. It's kind of frustrating at this point.
I sympathize with you, but I'd recommend giving these a more lengthy chance.

Do you think I'd spend this much time if I were seeing those things that much?

Definitely I will. I really appreciate the effort being put into the sliders and rosters. I just find it weird that no-one else is seeing this, that's all.

Would this work on the CPU? CPU swing and misses are very low for me. When they choose or are forced to swing it's almost guaranteed contact. Which is great for my pitch count and ability to beat them but not very realistic, a few more Ks would be nice...... I have the lowest total Ks and BBs in the league and about a 7-8% swing and miss rate, I'm not pitching to contact, or at least I thought I wasn't......until I saw those numbers. Otherwise everything else is coming together nicely.

OK i just learned something new. I always assumed lower timing would increase both misses and bad contact. Thanks for the info. You would think i should know that by now.

So with foul frequency - does raising it only cause balls close to the line move further toward foul territory and cause more swings and misses to become foul balls? And lowering it causes more fair balls down the line and more swings and misses? Is there anything im missing on the effect raising/lowering foul frequency has on the stats?

Sorry, I'm confused on the timing. I thought the timing gives us a bigger window to swing to make good contact. So lowering it makes better contact?

I think he confused it a bit - what he meant to say IMO, is that raising timing would lead to you striking out less, and putting extra balls in play, ones that you would probably miss ordinarily. This would lead to more batted ball outs, and less strikeouts.

No. You're simply in the zone too frequently. I'm 13th in Ks, and like 7th in walks. Gotta be willing to take chances to get those Ks.

In my opinion, i think if youll see more if you can get those 2 strike breaking pitches in the dirt or out of the zone. and make them chase pitches out of the zone. OR, set them up low, and then fire a high fastball out of the zone etc. Even on 3-2 many times I throw out of the zone. I want that K. If i walk them i walk them. Of course, depends on the situation and the pitcher/hitter.

Ok I have 2 more pics to upload, if I can't attach them to here... This was a daily roster game with your sliders!! Very pleased with the result... 3 single run hr was the scoring and some sprinkled hits. I had some lack of disipline at the plate resulting in the K's, but other than that I'm hooked!!

This is precisely how you should be pitching with this set and with this game.

Fielding Errors Outfield -1 to 8
Baserunner Steal Ability -1 to 5
