I lost the first 2 games of the season by 1 run both games. The announcers even mentioned how it is deflating for a team losing 2 one run games in a row. I thought that was cool as I never heard them say that before. Won the 3rd game with a walk off wild pitch in extra innings.

I do have one question. I'm striking them out quite a bit. My last 3 games I have struck them out 38 times. After 4 games my pitchers have 53 strikeouts. I don't want to bump too much cause they are getting a good variety and they are averaging around .300 BABIP. I just think too many of their outs are by strikeout. Do I bump up CPU timing by 1? I don't want to raise their batting average.

Who are your pitchers? That's a small sample size, and I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

what am I doing wrong? This happens alllllll the time too with catchers on passed balls.. they'll slide to the ball and I have preloaded a throw but they always stop first then throw!

Allows runners to advanced easily and also score at home EASILY
I use auto fielding, so I'm not entirely sure. Are you seeing the same in any of my streams? Take a look--I'm honestly not sure.

Mike, I am having the opposite problem. The CPU is never swinging and missing(about 2% swings and misses/total pitches per game, about 2/3 K's/game). I was playing on Legend, but now I keep bumping pitching difficultly down to get some swings and misses, and raising CPU Contact to compensate for the lower difficulty. I am also seeing tons of foul balls (over 25% of total pitches pretty much every game) because the CPU makes contact every time. I am playing with CPU Foul Frequency on 0, CPU timing at 4, and am now down to Rookie pitching Difficulty with CPU contact at 10 and CPU Power at 5, CPU Solid hits at 4. My Human Pitching sliders are Control at 0 and Consistency at 3. I am going to test these settings/slider adjustments out for a while, but any suggestions on how to get less CPU foul balls AND more CPU swings and misses? Thanks!

Woah dang, man, you're kind of all over the place now w your sliders. I'd recommend giving it some more time w set 2.4. Also, AI contact at 10 is definitely playing a massive role in your issues.

so in your FAQ you said we can play this on any difficulty and should be fine.. but notice that you only list two difficulty hitting options under hitting.. HOF / All star .. if i pitch on All star and not legend would that be ok ??

2nd i like playing my DEF if i still play it pn assisted will i have any problems you think with how high all the errors are?

                Thanks!!

I'm gonna self-diagnose and say that I have a minor case of slideritis, but I'm getting over it

Yeah it should be fine on the other levels also..
I play my defense too and on hall of fame, it can be tricky sometimes. But if you think of the situation and take your time with the meter, it really does work out. If you start to rush yourself, you actually make some mistakes. Example: I lost my Padre season opener 10-1, I actually had the lead in the top of 1 to start the game. Dodgers came to bat, I had 2 out on them, made back to back throwing errors and the flood gates opened up and they scored 5 and 10 in the first 4 innings. Cahill was my starter also. Not very good to say the least. I need to make myself better and start hitting that line with my pitching and grow my disipline at the dish.

I was having the exact same issue but stuck with it. I'm starting to get a lot more swing and misses. I would say be willing to give up walks when behind in the count and really pay attention to your pitch sequence in relation to CPUs timing on the previous pitch you threw. Standard pitching tactics I guess but has really helped me.

                          Cheers

It'll be fine on whatever difficulty, but those are the ones I recommend and have actually tested myself.

Keep errors high. You may still not be seeing enough.

100% this. It's rather easy if you're focusing on it and have the right matchups.
