Any tips to get more Ks with this sliders set, lowering the pitching difficulty to HOF can help me?

Does anyone know how to stop a guy who's trying to steal home when dude on first is trying to steal also when it happened to me the throw meter appeared so I threw it to second cause I didn't see dude running from third so the guy got the run and beat me

While lowering difficulty might be helpful to some people I don't personally think it's necessary. I'm doing a franchise with the Rays (because they have a gorgeous stadium) and are actually top in the league in strikeouts and am currently still believe May 3rd. These are things that have helped me personally:

        1) Learn my own pitchers. What are their strengths? Is it breaking pitches? Fastballs? Etc? Are they just better pitch to contact etc? This has helped me in its own right. I have Archer who is currently second or third in the league in strikeouts but then my bottom of the rotation guy Andriese has a very low K/9 (not sure in exact number) Archer is a guy who has a great slider and a good strikeout pitcher so I will work to set up my slider during the at bat and use that to strikeout guys at 2 strikes.

        2) Change your approach as the game goes on. This plays into number 1. (Well all of them will in some ways). For the sake of time I'll use Archer as my reference. As I stated before, I look to use my slider early in to strike guys out. Even if I am having success with that or not, towards the middle of the game, later, or maybe even a batter here and there, I will switch that up and maybe use my slider early to get two strikes and then bust them in with a fastball. A lot of my strikeouts are coming off purely of setting guys up properly. To add to that if a pitch isn't working that game I won't use it as much.

        3) Know the opposing team/batter. This along with #4 are probably the top two for me personally. A lot of my strikeouts are coming off of knowing a team or batters tendencies. To speak specifically, I just got done facing the Marlins in a Home/Home set. In 4 games I struck out Stanton 6 times. This was by either throwing sliders away and out of the zone (typically good against power hitters) or busting him hard in with the fastball (warning with this one: it's not recommended with every pitcher against every batter. Need to have an effective fastball). I saw early in game one that Stanton was susceptible to these pitches so every game if I got two strikes (depending on my pitcher on the mound) I tried to go soft away or hard in. To reiterate, this is one example and will definitely not be true for every pitcher or batter. (See point #1)

        4) When it comes to 3-2 counts, be ok with walking guys. Again all other points come into play for this. There are some scenarios where you don't want to walk a guy or whatever so this is a fickle point as are all these. But essentially what I mean is if it's 3-2 and I have a guy in the mound who I'm not completely worried about having guys on base and/or the situation in the game allows me to be ok with guys on, I may try to paint the corner a little more than normal. Also, depending on my pitcher and the batter I'm facing, maybe I try to throw a breaking pitch outside the zone. Just like we are, the CPU gets nervous in 3-2 counts. I used to always be top of the league with least amount of walks given up. Now in towards the middle and my strikeouts have risen as well.

4b) Don't let the good guys beat you. Momentum is huge in this game (almost to a fault). So learn the opposing teams lineup and where they might be weak. Pitch around (doesn't necessarily mean just walk them) the heart of their lineup. Go right at the weak batters in their lineup. Doing this also has helped me. Many times will I strikeout a Stanton or Trout something like that by just working outside the zone or finding opportunities where I think I might be able to steal a strike. Same on the other end; many times where they have a weak batter and I just pound the zone with my top two pitches.

Moral of the story is that there isn't 1 thing that will help. Everything plays on top of everything. Hopefully what I've seen help me will help you. And hopefully I explained it well enough. This would just end up in a novel if I tried any more haha. Change our approach often and know tendencies. Good luck!

I had to turn down infield throwing errors to 9. 10 was just insane. I saw 4 errors in a game I just played. Not happening again

I noticed every once and a while one of my youngsters will commit a few too many errors in a game but for the most part seems realistic I like sometimes a young guy has a bad game just like real life

This is ridiculous I had to really adjust infield and outfield errors and accuracy. I was seeing 5-6 errors a game. I played a game last night where Jose Reyes single handedly cost me the game by committing 5 errors alone

I don't know what is going on since the last patch but I feel like the CPU, when he wants to win, it becomes crazy. The CPU can hit a ball way outside the zone and this ends with a groundball right between my infielders or a lazy flyball right between my infielders and outfielders or even with a HR. Those kind of thing didn't happen before but now, wouah. Pitching is like playing lottery.

I think CPU Contact must be lowered.

I'm only seeing maybe 1 to 2 errors a game, playing perfectly for me. My only thing I was worried about was I was getting to many hits per game, but it is evening out after playing 25 plus games. I think these are playing perfectly!

Also, I'm averaging 10 hits over my last 10 games and wonder if it's the quality of pitching or the fact that the sliders encourage a few more meatballs to hit with the lower consist? Might try it at 4 or even 5 but curious on your thoughts?
The issue is more with the user wild pitches and passed balls. We already have this at what, 8? It's a game flaw, and probably the biggest reason why I just am not finding the same enjoyment in this game as before.

How many MLB box scores would I need to send you with 4 errors before you believed in it being a real thing?

Using this set for about 20 games and it plays beautifully. Like you the passed balls are a bit much, but I can get over that.

Its been a couple of years since I've played the Show, so still rediscovering my groove, so I was running all-star/all-star. But then first 3 games to open the 2018 season vs the Brewers I only allowed one unearned run. Small sample size or not it was time to bump pitching to HOF lol.

Played 2 games with HOF pitching.
First game with a rookie 74 ovr pitcher we won 3-1, with the one run surrendered by the bullpen. My starter only had 2 Ks and while young its clear he is a SO pitcher (k/9 at 81, but BB/9 48 and h/9 64ish)

Second game was...very different. Yu Darvish got rocked for 7 runs in 4 2/3rd innings after pitching a complete game shutout in the opener. And I am perfectly fine with that. It happens sometimes, even with good pitchers.

I will be watching stats related to strikeouts (swing & miss %), but will probably wait 25 games or so before adjusting.

I do have a non-slider question related to lead offs and stolen bases. Its about attributes. Speed is self explanatory, stealing controls the quality of the jump, but what impact does aggressiveness have? Does it influence the likelihood of getting caught on a pick off? I got two guys who can steal -- Craig Gentry (91 spd, 98 stl, 90something agr) and rookie Edgar Fernandez (90 spd 85 stl, 48 agr). The rookie Fernandez has gotten called out multiple times while increasing his lead off, while Gentry can do it at no risk. Is it due to aggression?

Another attribute question -- does BB/9 have an effect in played games? Individual pitch control dictates location right? I always though bb/9 only influences simmed games.

Final question on pitching meter. Where do you guys stop it for "power." I know it is situational, but I try to never let it hit red as my gut tells me that is overthrowing a pitch (kinda like using power swing, just won't get good results). Is this wrong and should I start maxing it on 2 strike sliders and curves out of the zone to create swing and misses?
