Hey Mike love your sliders been using them for a while. Only question I have is are doubles just down this year? I can't seem to him any. Maybe 1 every couple of games, although I am near the bottom in hrs with the brewers. Just wondering if this was your findings too. When I do square up a ball it's right at a fielder for an put. I can never seem to hit it to the gap

I only say this to help, but although you're squaring up pitches well, you either a) don't have a big enough sample size or b) aren't squaring things up as frequently or as well as you think.
The 2Bs are there. I have games anywhere between 0-5, but almost always have 1-2.@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders
Hey brother
Giving your sliders a shot. Had a few questions for you
1. Do you take any extra steps away from the bag prior to stealing?
2. Do you listen to your catchers pitch suggestions at all?
3. Do you use normal, contact, and power swings? If you use them all, in what situations do you use them?Comment

Here’s my input.
1. If you take an extra step a lot. You’ll get picked off. But in order to steal with guys lower than 85 speed, that extra step is crucial against a good armed catcher.
2. I do a lot. Sometimes I shake him off and go with what I want to throw. But the catcher knows what pitch in what situation with a certain pitcher that I like.
3. I only ever use normal. Rarely power. Only on a 3-0 or 3-1 with a power hitter. And contact swing with 2 strikes in a clutch situation.

i appreciate that.... how about the cursor with zone hitting? I think he is saying on the OP that he uses it most of the time, but I just want to be certain. Thank youComment

I don’t use it. But when you first go with zone hitting, it helps to get used to it.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders
What ever you feel the situation calls for to give you the best chance to get him out. If you want to work around someone and face the next guy, throw a hard fastball up or any breaking pitch that goes off the plate at the break. If you really need to get him out, throw whatever your confident most in to get him out.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders
To follow up, I agree with most everything that's been posted since Cliff first asked earlier today. As far as stealing bases, however, I would say speed/lead isn't nearly as important as running in the right situations. I'm often able to steal with the guys who have a speed rating of 60 or 70, no extra lead, by anticipating when the AI is going to throw a breaking ball. I typically only take a bigger lead w 2 outs and a man on second.
Also, I've gotten away from maximizing the pitch meter. I hardly ever do it now. I've actually found much more success in going much lower in the effectiveness of each pitch as this helps me paint the corners and has ledx surprisingly perhaps, to more swings and misses.@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

I use analog so for that is lightly going up. For pulse, I don’t know. On Meter, it’s the front end.
