HOF hitting is great if you play regularly and understand what the cpu is trying to do to you. I understand most people want a fun and casual experience, especially offensively. For that reason I'm not gonna push HOF hitting on anyone. I'm an outlier, but A&S has guided me to my sliders. I personally love the pitching/cpu hitting sliders in the recent update. All I did was lower user control to 3 and its a blast. Challenging, fair, ratings matter, and you still get those random baseball anamolies that affect games.

I think a lot of the people on here searching for franchise sliders are on the threshold of less casual, though. Last year I got really bored with all-star hitting and ended up putting the game down for a few months. This year the hitting feels easier than ever and that's why I think we're seeing a lot of guys move it up to HOF. Keep in mind, easier isn't bad, the hitting in '18 feels better than it ever has before.

One thing to keep in mind baseball is a offensive game now. Most teams average 4-5 runs a game.

I am actually using vibration.....I like feeling how out of the zone I want a pitch. If you really want a challenge no vibration. I use the vibration like I would with how I would step to the plate when coming downhill on the mound. As a pitcher I teach my players how to locate to step to the spot you want that ball to go. It is a ever so slight....but that is one of the keys to location for pitchers. Step to where you want the ball to end up.



So the vibration is my downhill step. The more vibration the farther out of the zone (in or out) I want the pitch to ultimately end up. However it does not always work out that way.....which is the beauty of classic pitching.

Great explanation. I love how you use your knowledge of baseball to develop these setting s and sliders. I coach also and played for many years after high school and love the game within the game. Managing , pitching and hitting truly is a chess game and you always reflect that in your sliders. Thanks brother, enjoy the game

I suggest playing with these on dynamic difficulty.

Just keep the sliders and play on dynamic to see where you fall. I'm using these with directional and analog pitching.

I'm hitting on All-Star and tapped out pitching on legend+ with analog pitching.

Hey Armor if you want another drill for your pitchers. I came up with this during my short stint in the Yanks farm.

They drill into you there to throw your hands. I know I know hitting term lol. But they were teaching us pitchers this course my dad said something similar my while life lol.

Anyway the main point is lock your eyes to the target and throw your hand exactly where your looking. Obviously the ball goes where your hand goes.

So I came up with this drill and my pitching coach loved it.

Get a wall and just put about 6 circles on it. Chalk tape paint whatever. Then stand about 10ft away with either tennis balls or 1-2 pound little med balls. All you do is lock eyes on a circle and work on throwing your hand exactly where your looking.

Super easy drill that did wonders for mine and a few guys I played with fastball control.

I agree. I put the game down last year too. I love how they made HOF hitting on Directional a viable option this year. Just having a ball right now...pun intended

HOF batting just go with the same exact settings.....if you struggle...up human contact and power to 6/6

Or IMO first thing you should do is up solid hits to 5.....if that does not do it....move it back to 4 and go 6/6 on contact and power.

Also pitch speed is a personal preference. Fool around with that first and foremost!!!

That is all you need to do.

Oh BTW I switched to HOF hitting but these work for both....no changes needed at all.
