I don't know...I haven't personally tried the set YET but I do every year so I'll see what happens later on tonight or tomorrow night when I play.

So what's been the consensus on here? Are people using Hall of Fame for hitting? I've been using Hall of Fame hitting but using zone instead of directional. I will never strike out if I play on All-Star. But I'm worried that I won't hit well enough on Hall of Fame with directional.

I prefer All star it gives me a variety of games. I don't wanna lose every game 2-0 or win every game 12-0 the key is variety if I see a variety then I know it's perfect for my liking and it's exactly what baseball is.

I feel Hall of fame hitting I would be lucky to get more then 5 hits a game.

Check my last box score got 10 K's just out of the pen guys. Definitely still in there, trying to diagnose somebodies pitching problems is way way harder than just sliders.

How you setup pitches, how you execute them, when/how you throw them, the effort put in... it's almost impossible to try and dissect someones pitching problems.

I will say ratings are huge obviously, playing on these higher settings you can really tell the batters with low contacts and vision as well as the pitchers with high or low K/9. Also keep in mind that there are just ups and down throughout the year even with K's (if you're playing in chise anyway).

Honestly this game is king when it comes to variety though. This spring I gave up 12 runs (7 in the first inning) one game, then had a 2-hit shutout the next, no slider adjustments. I opened my season with a 10-1 loss, followed by a 5-2 win. Not going to change anything, and I have no doubt I could rip off five straight or start 1-6. Either is possible. That’s the beauty of it.
              Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

HOF hitting feels great and ratings really shine in my opinion. Just to display the variety, here are just the scores from my Reds franchise-
                L 7-1. W 3-0. W 9-5. L 3-2. L 8-2. L 1-0. L 3-1. W 9-2. W 20-4 (you are seeing that right). W 6-3. W 2-0. L 7-6. W 5-4.

This is just straight up default HOF with Armor’s settings and clean screen approach. This game is stupid good guys.

Totally agree, I actually feel that this is the first year where HoF directional hitting is actually a viable option, without ruining your slider setup to get some offense.

Just wanna say great job on the set guys. I worked with TNK on his set for years like you two work together, and while he always puts out great sets and we put out some great sets together it was always a slight bit different or off for me as he's a zone hitter and I've never been a zone guy.

Anyway great job so far keep it up! Glad to help in anyway way I can/am. Least I can be the Analog Pitching side for these lol.

For sure sticking with HoF on the hitting side with these sliders, haven't decided yet wether to go straight legend with my Analog pitching or locking my Dynamic difficulty at legend+. Gonna give it a bit and see what I feel, currently going back and forth between the 2 every 2-3 games.

Armor - used your sliders in 17 and they pretty much saved me from slider-itis. Anyways, I follow your franchise setup, and pretty much do the same sorts of things. My only issue, and I've posted it in several threads and can't get a clear answer, is that I'm using 30 team control (CPU profile on 29 of the 30), and I cannot get a CPU-initiated trade offer to my user team.

The CPU trades amongst themselves like crazy (I tested this by setting the slider to 10 and putting Freddie Freeman, Acuna, Inciarte, Newcomb, Allard on my Trade Block), but I can't get any trades directed towards me from the CPU. Any ideas?

I only had the time to play 2 games last night, due to the metal detector calling my name to go to a old house site after work. Dropped both damn games.

Mmmm odd. I have received some offers.

It really is a matter of time. Or maybe the there 29 teams don’t like you? But there is no issue I have seen.

Ha, the latter is possible, this has been an issue with me in 2017 and 2018, so it's obviously something I'm doing, but I'm not sure what it is. I've simmed numerous seasons, no luck. I receive the offers with single team control, just not 30 team control. I leave CPU trading on, etc. basically everything is set to auto on the CPU profile, and manual on my profile.

                                It's pretty irritating.
