I’ve been playing both a lot of DD (which is on default) and in franchise with this slider set. I can definitely tell you that the fielding slider tweaks on this set really do help guys stand out a bit more. Default is great, don’t get me wrong...but this set just adds the proverbial icing to the cake.

You will see far more bloopers, sinking line drive singles, gap line drives falling in more instead of being tracked down routinely.

Trust me on this setting.....it is one of the core adjustments to this slider set that really let's the game breathe and the ball physics and defensive ratings shine brightly.
Like I said in an earlier post, I think the "secret sauce" in this set is the fielder speed and reaction sliders...yesterday I hit a slider that I just knew would be caught by the outfielder and it ended up falling in the gap just in front of the fielder and because I thought it would be a routine out I hesitated and missed out on an extra base. It was awesome to see that happen though[emoji16]

These sliders are great but my advice and Im sure Armor will agree, if it aint broke don't fix it...if default is giving you a great experience then stick with default my friend...play ball[emoji16][emoji461]

Small write-up/update on the Yankees Year 2 through 6 games (6-0) on Post #2. We will get more in depth as the season rolls on and after the month of April we will start tracking team stat's/player stats monthly and get some around the league standings and news as well!

Armor, interested that you have changed the op to keep injuries at 8 for simming as well. So far I've had one in game injury (me or cpu) in first 15 games, but I have 6 minor leaguers on the dl, of which 4 are out for more than 2 months. Ascribing this to the slider working differently on the sim side to the game side. Are you seeing this too, or are my young kids just getting beat up when I'm not watching?!

Offensively I’m cold as ice, thinking about moving down to All Star from HoF but I know I’ll get the bats going again. 0-4 since I've gone cold and I’m playing nothing but exhibition games testing and looking at different ball parks.

Pitching, CPU makes you pay for mistakes
Also had a ball die down the line in left field, which made me say “WOW!”

One problem i do have is; I check swing often when batting, I'm in no way tapping the button but somehow it check swings, anyone having this problem?

Even with a Scuf controller using the paddles.

I think the change to reaction and speed helps the offense and hit variety. The one issue I'm seeing is slower guys that split the gaps in larger parks are getting routine stand-up triples. I.E. Yadier Molina (12 speed) could've tried for an in the parker on me off a normal gapper to right center. Has fielder speed at 4 and reaction at 3 been tested?

Yes this happens to me a lot also. Its most likely something I am doing but it always seems to be when I need a big hit or I have two strikes. Really enjoying this game, best in the series. Baseball Heaven

You may want to lower baserunner speed if you feel like slower guys are getting too many extra base hits...just throwing out a suggestion, I am by no means a slider guru lol

Only issue I'm really seeing is the lack of issuing walks. My pitcher's have pinpoint accuracy. I've even lowered pitch control to 3 and pitch consistency to 2. Still throwing like Greg Maddux with guys like Eddie Butler.

Hey man. I have seen you post this same problem in numerous threads. Have you raised the level of your pitching so you fear certain hitters? Have you removed all pitching aids? Have you lowered consistency and control to 0? Have you raised CPU contact, timing, power or solid hits to a level that makes you nip the corners? I say this only because I thought I had similar issues as you until I made these changes. I guarantee you that if you make some of these suggested changes (not all and most likely a small change) you will walk hitters. It's kinda like the definition of insanity....you can't keep doing the same thing and expect different outcomes. Hopefully you give this a try....I think I have suggested this to you in the past (to include last year). The game plays very sim if tweaked just a little.

I've probably played over 1,000 games of The Show at this point and I can tell you what the major issue is regarding walks. It's the fact that when you, "miss your spot," about 80% of the time it results in a meatball that catches a ton of the strike zone. If the game tweaked it to be more around 20% of the time and the other 80% of the time it missed for a ball, it would be perfect.

As it stands now though, missed pitches result in too many strikes and not enough balls. Not saying that missed pitches don't ever miss way outside the zone for balls. They do. But just not nearly enough compared to pitches that miss over the heart of the plate.

I respectfully disagree. I have reached realistic walk and strike/ball ratios following armor and Mike Lowe's tweaks. I had to break out and try different things (i.e play on legend pitch and no aids, per Mike Lowe's thread)
