Armor's speech about his carryover made me decide to break out my Reds chise from last year and plug away at it some more. It's the first chise I've ever played a entire 162 game season on. I did that plus 9 playoff games (got swept by WAS in the NLCS) then into May of the next season.
When I started it not all the big FA had signed yet so I randomly divided them up with a randomizer, so I actually had Hosmer for my first year, which on the calender was 2017 but was actually 2018 rosters so now I'm in 2018 but it's really 2019.
Anyway I let him walk after a 40 HR season, with a qualifying offer of course. And signed Yu Darvish and J.D. Martinez but before J.D. could ever play a game for us he got shipped to HOU along with Billy Hamilton and someone else i can't remember for Jose Altuve who was then moved along with Hunter Greene and Devin Mesoraco for Mike Trout in a huge 3-team deal. I know not the most realistic especially on the Altuve one, but at least it was in a world where he didnt have an extension.
Anyway here's a look at my team now, we're currently 18-16 2nd in the Central 4 0GB of the Cubs.
