I have used your sliders/settings for years, long time first time etc...I use timing swing one button, only use normal contact unless I am ahead in the count.

Here is what I am seeing.

    Exhibition Mode.

I play as random teams vs. Mets with Syndergaard pitching. No matter the pitch speed I am not striking out enough, wat too many balls put in play, any help or insight?

You guys happen to know off hand ? Thanks again !!!
I would actually raise solid hits to default if you wanted a little more user offense. I actually (inadvertently) ran a bunch of games on All Star with user default settings and it played really well....

I agree that it is a personal preference, but I was stuck for years on slow pitch speeds because I felt I needed them, then just this year I decided to raise pitch speed to 10, purely out of curiousity, and I discovered something.

Yes, increasing pitch speed was in some ways more difficult because I just plain had less time to decide to swing the bat, but here is the thing: I didn't realized that when the pitch speed was low, I needed the extra time because of the unnatural way the ball was leaving the pitcher's hand. There was this sort of hitch as the velocity slowed down, and that was causing me to lose ball path, ball trajectory, and ball spin. I literally needed the extra time to re-aquire all of those things. When I bumped up the speed I was genuinely surprised how much I didn't need the extra time anymore, and this is coming from a guy who at one point refused to go past veteran because I felt I couldn't handle the pitch speed increase on All-star.

I still say it's personal choice (I'm at HoF 9 now), but I think you need to try higher speeds just to see if you are like me.

Mind you I'm playing on a pro in faster mode, so that might have something to do with my recent "discovery" of fast pitching settings.

I have a question about the pitch speed sliders. Presently I have my Fastball slider speed at 9. I have tried it at 10, but always seem to be a little late with 10 whereas 9 gives me that extra split second to decide to swing or not to swing. It would be nice to say I am a 10, but 9 just seems to be the right speed for my skill level and my age seeing as I am no spring chicken in this world anymore.

Anyway my question is what should my Offspeed slider be set at? Right now it is the default 5 because Offspeed and Fastballs should come at me at different speeds. But I have a horrible time hitting Changeups because they leave the pitcher looking like a Fastball, but more often then not I swing early on them which if I am not mistaken is why Changeups exist in the first place. So am I right to have the Fastball and Offspeed at these two different values, or should they always be the same? If my Fastball slider is at 9, Offspeed should also be 9? Or if Fastball is at 5, Offspeed is at 5?

          Hitting on AS or HOF?

How many games have you used as a sample size?

Yankees Franchise YR2 update coming soon.

We have won 5 of our last 6 and are looking to close out our 4 game set vs The Blue Jays with another win.

10 for off-speed 9 for fastballs is what I've always used. So I'd say 10, go as me a nice variance in pitches for me.

For me i have to have off-speed slider higher then fastball speed. I don't know how any one can play with fastball speed higher. I know that changeups are not easy to hit and look a lot like a fast ball in real life but in the game the difference between a 90 mph fastball and a 80 mph changeup just looks/feels way to big on default. Like on default for example if you get a 90 mph fastball and then a 80 mph changeup that changeup really looks/feels more like 70. If i don't have off speed slider higher i cant tell the difference between it and a fastball like at all and will be early on the changeup like 95% of the time.

I think the answer for this will change for the individual. I'm of the mentality that it should always be the same. I SHOULD swing and miss when I saw fastball but it was a changeup. I don't think there is anything wrong with doing differently though I'm not trying to settings shame.

So i updated to the sliders on the OP. I even went to the pitch speed at 4. which really helped me get about 8 walks in a game. and not so many in another and that is probably what I am after. need more sample size against strikeout pitchers for strikeouts though

that fielder speed on 3 makes a HUGE difference I think it does feel better, I have found I probably have got about 3 hits that I would never have got if it was default as before. where runners run short of the bloopers or don't do superman dives. even had some they missed in the outfield. don't know if this was the reason or a pure fluke once again small sample size.

Ptich speed being on 4 I find when I strike out now its on the damm change up because now I find it too slow for that, and it should be fastballs I struggle with I really gotta get that balance right I am check swinging to much on change ups and missing them drop in with pitch speed on 4, I had them at 6 and 7 before I may have to raise it again.
