Thinking about doing my 1st ever MLB THE SHOW LIVE STREAM on youtube later on today, anybody willing to come through if I post the link? Starting a chise with the Rockies or Pirates...hard to decide.

I let the CPU do everything during a game playing against them. There is no warm up option toggle for CPU teams. Never has been.

I let the CPU manage their own teams on gameday.

The only thing I control is their lineups/40 man rosters and sometimes make sure they are handling their injuries properly.

I still have not had a moment to do our May Franchise report for our Yankees Year 2 franchise. I will though...soon.

We also had what I consider maybe my best amateur draft ever. I really picked up some amazing looking prospects!!!

Thanks. But the cpu relievers never stop warming up if you don’t switch teams and change them to ready and waiting. I’m assuming that would have a negative effect on their performance as they would enter the game tired. Am I wrong? Also, just as you have the option to warmup pitchers for the human controlled team there is also the same option (on or off) for the cpu teams. I currently have it put to ON. Just not sure if that is correct or not. Sorry for my questions if I’m not understanding something

In my Twins franschise, I have nine players on the DL.

If half of the Rays pitchers were getting Tommy John surgery, you'd have totally nailed the realism!

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 18 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

Woo! Mentioned twice in the OP!

Came here to discuss the injury slider though. My league is getting decimated by injuries and I have my slider set to 6! Getting plenty in game and I'm averaging about 1.2 injuries a day throughout the entirety of AA, AAA, and MLB when simming.

The original reason why I turned it up was due to the fact that I had 2 injuries throughout all the leagues in 20 games when I first started. I turned it back down for 6 games and got 2 injuries during that time span.

Should I keep going at 6 and just chock it up to an unlucky year? Or should I give 5 a whirl again?

I've heard rumour that people who were on year one of their franchise were seeing significantly less injuries then those with carry overs or already on year two. Are you seeing this at all?

I'll admit, part of the reason I'm thinking about turning down injuries is because one of my key players just went down with a broken finger in the middle of September. I have a guy who I consider a decent replacement at the position and he is also injured. Both players have 80+ durability. I don't have enough pitchers left to fully staff AA. Send help.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 18 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

Most of the injuries I’m seeing during simmed games with the injury slider at 6 is only a day or 2 with the random exception of 1-2 weeks, or 1-2 months. I’ve only seen one that’s lasted longer than 6 months and that’s through 20 games so far. During played games I’ve only had 2 injuries, one long term which was to Greg Bird so the realism in that one is accurate, and the other I had to take Tanaka out in the 3rd inning but he didn’t miss his next start. This is with injuries at 9 for played games.

So a little update on my Braves franchise. So after the 14 game win streak I went on at the end of July and the beginning of August the Braves have lost 9 of 11 but still hold a 3 game lead on the Nationals. We were unable to capitalize on a unreal 15 game losing streak by the nationals. The Braves just got terrible news there allstar catcher who was having a career year Tyler Flowers has went on the DL with a broken shin suffered sliding in to 3rd when advancing on a passed ball. Flowers was hitting a amazing 324 with 20hr and 64 rbi. He could miss the rest of the season. The Braves have called up a 21 year old rookie and will have to rely on kurt Suzuki who is hitting a whopping 219 with 2 hr and 8rbi. Freddie Freeman continues his mvp run hitting his 44th hr and driving in his 101rbi on the year. He is 6th in average 1st in hr and 2nd in rbi.

Got the victory in game 1 of 3 on the road at Arizona, great way to start the season for my Rockies...good game throughout, was down 3-1 late until Charlie Blackmon hit a 3 run homer!!! 20180605_212050.jpg20180605_212110.jpg20180605_212126.jpg20180605_212138.jpg20180605_212206.jpg20180605_212218.jpg

After getting no hit the other night the CPU isn’t getting any help from me! Jacob Faria pitched the last 3 innings of his perfect game with NO ENERGY and I still couldn’t get a hit. Sometimes I think there is a different set of rules that apply to the CPU team but perhaps that is the feeling you get from your opponent in real life Baseball as well. Seriously though I’m not seeing anything amiss letting them handle the bullpen themselves.
