I have - I've played 3 full "test" franchise games (my wife and kids hate me right now) - SD v MIL, Det v Pit and LAD v SF.

Games played good, and stats looked good too.

1st pitch strikes between 58 and 62%
overall strike % between 60 and 65%
fouls per total pitches right at 16%
misses per total swings between 19 and 22%

All these fall right in line with MLB avg's.

I'll say this, though it is a small sample size - move off-speed pitch back to 5.
I've also noticed that you can induce a ton more ground balls if you pitch low in the zone - could be a fluke, but the fly balls have been toned down a ton.

Overall - so far so good

Nice thanks for the feedback, I personally have my pitch speeds on FB 9 Off 10 so idk about 5 lol.

But that all seems great! Any feedback on how the fielding seems? Any bigger diffs between elites and average guys?

Sure....

- Seager and Iglesias both ranged super deep in the hole to backhand and
throw out a runner at 1st - so that looked good.
- Saw 2 balls go over poorly rated LF's heads and roll to the wall too.
- Still seeing bloopers land between IF and OF's.

Only thing I have seen that made me go hmmm (and in fairness, I saw this with Ridin's set too) were a couple of fly balls that landed right in front of the CF, and they could & should have dove for it, but they just let it drop directly in front of them.

As far as pitch speed goes, I would be sure the 2 are the same. No need to have off-speed faster now.

Anybody else having trouble hitting post patch 1.10? I’m the Yankees and can’t hit homers anymore. Just got 2 hits last game, both singles. Am I just in a slump or is hitting a bit tougher post patch?

Whew. I actually won the game 2-1. I got 2 singles. Bases were loaded thanks to 2 walks and a single and Stanton drove 2 in with a single. Jays only got 3 hits so I assumed it was just a pitcher’s dual.

The OP has been updated on the bottom of post #1 with Warm Winds house rules on player/prospect editing within franchise mode using 30 team control for the off-season. Great stuff there and IMO it add’s another layer of dynamics to your universe.

Turns out I have a similar strategy with the hitting, but rarely use contact with my pitchers. Mets pitchers are decent hitters. The editing prospects thing is a really cool way of going about the odd regression sometimes. The trade off ideas are something I can get behind. People helping people...

I got the living **** kicked out of me by The Orioles to split the series 2-2.

Alex Meyer and C.C. Sabathia were lit up like a Christmas tree. We went down 12-1 as the Orioles hit 5 HR’s. It was a mash fest for them. Onto Toronto for a quick 2 game series!

It happens - regardless of any sliders. Just the nature of the game.

I've won games where I got like 5 runs on 4 hits.

It happens. It's why it's good to have multiple tactics on offense. Hit and run, get super patient, get super aggressive, etc.

The Orioles always hit a lot of homers against me. Trey Mancini has hit a leadoff home run in each of the first 3 games of this 4 game series. And I can’t get Chris Davis out to save my life. He’s 9-12 with 2 homers and 4 doubles in the 3 games.

My second time facing Yu Darvish in my Marlins franchise and he struck me out 14 times over 7 innings. I looked like I was swinging a noodle. It was the most frustrating game to date.

Does everyone warm-up their relievers ir do you turn that “off” and not throw any warmup pitches? Is it necessary? What do you do with the cpu teams? Do you have the cpu set to warm-up on or off? Do you warmup the cpu relievers as well? Sorry for all the questions. I’m just a little uncertain about this as I have always NOT warmed up my relievers. Thanks

In my last 15 games, I've only given up 2 home runs. Should I start to consider moving power back up to 6 for computer? In the first 7 games where I played with power at 6, I gave up 11 home runs.
