I am hoping to lock in my speed SOON so I can start my franchise (again) and never look back.

    Thanks for your input
I always go one notch below him on both pitch speed sliders. If he's at 4/4, I am at 3/3. For me, it is 'clockwork'....I can go with Armor's pitch speed, subtract 1, and it will work for me...been that way the last couple of years and this year has been no exception.

You might try something similar. If you were 2 ticks higher than him last year, then go with 6/6; 3 ticks higher than him, go 7/7....etc.

From how you've described things though, it sounds to me like 6/6 is your best bet.

I was 2 notches higher than Armour last year (6/8) so that is why I went with 6/7 to start my franchise this year. I play both a Yankee franchise and a Brewer franchise. I’ve decided to go home after work, set my pitch speed sliders to 6/7 and play the first 2 series of both franchises. That should give me enough sample size to determine if I need to go up to 7/8.

      Thanks again for your responses.

I missed Armor updating his set to 4/5....so yeah, 6/7 would make sense then.

Simulation injuries will be a little much IMO. I know it's a PITA but it is what I do. Up to you though. Try it out at 7 and see if injuries get out of hand when you sim the other games before you play yours with 30 team control.

Once I determine it’s a fastball I can be late, even in fastball accounts. Here is my dilemma. I’m playing against the Blue Jays and Stroman is on the mound (not really a power pitcher) with pitch speeds at 6/7. After 4 innings I’m up 5-0. I have 8 hits including a 3-run homer by Stanton and a solo home run by Didi. I have 2 walks and 0 strikeouts. I change to 7/8 to start the 5th and the Jays replace Stroman with Barnes (throws a bit harder). I am held scoreless for the final 5 innings (win 5-1). I only get 4 more hits (3 singles and a double), 0 walks and 5 strikeouts. This is why I’m stuck between whether I stay at 6/7 or move up to 7/8. I want to feel challenged and feel like I earn my victories and be able to celebrate my home runs I hit, but at the same time I don’t want to make things too difficult.

I use the zoom camera angle as in previous years.
Judging by this you just need more time at 7/8, 3 singles and a Double over 5 innings isn't horrible really. I mean I'm locked in on my speeds and sometimes go 5+ innings with less hits, of course I'll get 8 in an inning sometimes as well.

I feel as though you just need more time at 7/8 and again just slightly tweak at that camera in the editer man it's amazing what slightly offsetting it can do.

Yeah the Injury slider effects all teams no matter if you control 1 or all of them.

any pitching tips? Having a hard time finding the right timing on holding down the button which is causing me to throw a lot of pitches off target. And also having issues getting pitchers past the 5th inning 6th at most.

So i can't tell if I'm not holding it enough (i don't tap, usually let go when they make their windup step.) or too long that's causing my guys to fatigue faster (at most i hold it to when it barely starts the vibration).

Any vibration at all and it means you're throwing max effort so that's taxing them a good bit if you do it often.

Honestly other than that it's almost impossible to really tell someone how to use Classic, every pitcher is different and honestly soneone it seems pitchers change mid game with what's working button press wise and what's not.

You really just have to work with your pitchers, I would suggest using your warm up pitches when making changes to at least help you get a feel with them first.

You can literally close your eyes during the button press. It's about a 1 second or so period between he initial tap and max effort (vibration....if you use it). That duration never changes regardless of the type of windup. I actually don't even watch the pitcher during the button press process; I usually am focused on the catcher and rely strictly on 'feel'.

Geez, I had convinced myself to start at 6/7 and play at least 10 games before reassessing. Now you might be changing my mind. But I don’t know how to adjust the zoom angle to offset as you suggest. But I’m pretty happy with the way I see the ball on zoom angle
