I am using OSFM. I would not say i am pleased with the number of injuries league-wide, as i am only seeing approximately 0.5 DL placements per day. Im considering bumping it up to 9. In the past ive seen that create too many injuries (it seemed like this but i never really tracked them like i am this year.) I have a long ways to go to get to 2.6, so i kind of doubt if even 9 or 10 will get me there.

The only reason i hesitate to move it up, is as soon as i bump it to 9, i will probably lose my 3 best players for the season to the bird flu, but not accomplish anything else lol.

Nomo, if I understand correctly, these tests are for the OSFM roster set. Have you ever thought about downloading the hybrid V1 set from the vault and try to find the perfect CPU vs CPU settings for it perhaps using a new thread to avoid confusion? You've put a ton of work and time in these which are now near perfection. It would be awesome to see you take a stab at the very popular hybrid set with the re-rates the developers of it have made which make it quite different from the OSFM.

NolanRyansSnowmonkey, are you seeing any injuries from the CPU-controlled teams during games that are played out on the screen and not simmed? I read somewhere where there aren't any.

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 18 Version Season-Mode Memorial Edition]

I'm getting super picky here but that's what this thread is about. Haha.

I've tweaked the 6/2 set and like what I've seen from it as the power numbers at 6 just we're too much. So I adjusted power to 5 and solid hits back up to 5. My ridiculous league leading run scoring offense with the stock Braves has calmed down and my league worst pitching has improved just by that little tweak. I'll still have double digit games every now and then but I've seen a much more realistic spread of pitching and offense with that adjustment then what I saw before.

Now for the pickiness: Two stats that are a bit off whack still, mind you I'm 130 games into a franchise so I've got a pretty large sample size. Assists and double plays. I see too many double plays, on both sides. And too few assists. The only thing I can think of that is affecting the assists is the game is more fly ball heavy than real life but then again, I'm grounding into a league leading amount of double plays.

Is anyone having an issue with the Assists and double play stats as well, and have they been able to find a fix to it?

I'm using the 6/2 slider set for fielding and I'm 5th in fielding percentage but the Braves have a good fielding team so this isn't too far from realism.

To be honest guys I haven’t seen an injury occur ....I’m about 8 games into a season , have spectated basically all the teams games. Had it on the original rosters , at a 5 , then bumped them to 8, now on 10 . Nothing yet , which I find puzzling .

I just had my 4th injury (3rd unsimmed injury) in 13 games. These are in user-controlled franchise games however. I had to pull my starting pitcher out in the 3rd inning. I hope it's day-to-day, but i wont know until tomorrow (Literally. I need to log some things off of batter analysis and i don't feel like doing it tonight). So ive got her in rest mode. Yes, my ps4 is a she.

Have you still not seen an injury during a broadcasted cpu vs cpu game? If not, was this something that plagued 17 too and had to be fixed with a patch?

I have not personally seen any CPU injury in any game (user-games or cpu vs cpu) that wasn't simmed. However i have not looked for injuries after every cpu vs cpu broadcast game either. Since many times i do not watch the full game, but let it play out in the background, i probably miss a lot of stuff. That, on top of simming other games in-between, causes injuries to get lost in the shuffle. The only injuries i actively track in detail are in user-played games, because they are the only games that are consistent for me. That being said, i have seen enough games that i think i should have seen cpu injuries by now and i haven't unfortunately.

I keep thinking I had an injury or two in a couple of games just after release, but it's been so long ago and I haven't had any in game, except for the occasional "your player pulled a muscle" message as I start the game.

You may have saved my sanity with this little tweak. I was going a little bananas watching my pitchers flail about, so in the name of research I simmed through the first season and went after some better arms in both the bullpen and starters. They still SUUUUCKED it big time, while my relatively limp noodled right fielder was cranking bombs out of the yard at a godly rate. I intended all along to start over at some point and play it straight without simming a year, so I started over with your tweaks and the results are promising.

I should mention that I wasn't unhappy with the sliders originally, but it really did seem that since the latest patch they weren't working for me as well as they had been.

I've been using the 4/26 sliders for a while. Stats were great in April, then the offense, especially the home runs, became inflated in May. One thing that bothers me in this game is the high number of "no-doubter" home runs. It feels like close to 90% of home runs are that case. Even guys with 60 power are hitting no-doubt opposite field bombs too frequently.

It's not quite as bad as the 600 ft. bombs we saw in early 2017. But the home runs are still a bit broken IMO.
