I'm seeing very many line drives and hard-hit balls with Nomo's latest set on The Show 19. Do you think only lowering solid hits helps or will there be not enough hits then?

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 18 Version Season-Mode Memorial Edition]
Using a variation of Nomo's set from 2018, I'm seeing enough base hits but home runs are still slightly down. Power hitters seem to be suffering from warning track power and can't hit anything out unless it's a no-doubter. I may try bumping the power up to 6, but my concern would be too many extra base hits/line drives.Comment

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 18 Version Season-Mode Memorial Edition]
I think you should stick with power at 5 , I see enough games where sometimes the team will hit a few home runs . But in all fairness I’ve played about 20 games and it’s looking good so farComment

Anyone working on data-based 2019 cpu v cpu sliders? Ive been using these and they seem to ok, but replicating real-life stats over a large sample size would be awesome : )
I guess I could go back to playing 2018..Comment

I thought about doing it but haven't had the time. Im playing my normal user controlled franchise in MLB '18 still (which took quite a while last spring to figure out human/cpu sliders that would be as realistic as these but i finally found it), and i use Nomo's sliders to tune in to other games in my franchise and watch them - which is awesome.
If the numbers continue to look as good as you're getting so far, i may start an additional CPU vs CPU franchise but in '19.
Edit: I'm wondering how SP Innings Pitched might go. With it already below average using the tops of the rotations, it could go down a bit when the bottoms of the rotations come around. It could be fine, but something to maybe keep an eye on.Last edited by NolanRyansSnowmonkey; 04-25-2019, 09:11 PM.Comment

Glad to see someone doing this.

I am a MOM player that has been following Nomos for years along with doing alot of testing of my own. This year I jumped right in using his set from last year. 18 games in and i saw the offense was too powerful using his set from last year. Batting average was over .270, hits were about 9.50, and runs were over 5.00.
That's when I started the Default testing and came up with those numbers. I would say go with Default and just adjust the 6 i mentioned along with SP and Man Hook and I think you will be pleased. I watched alot of those 42 games and the "eyeball" test was good too. Think the designers did a much better job this year out of the box. I have started my MOM using those 6 adjustments and am going to carry on that wayComment

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 18 Version Season-Mode Memorial Edition]
Stamina 7, Manager 4 is looking pretty good now. On default settings, the CPU would pull the starters too soon. Some would be lucky to make it past the 5th inning, even if they didn't give up any runs.
As of now, I've been using a slightly modified version of Nomo's final 2018 settings and the results are pretty good. I originally thought HR power may have to be bumped a tad, but several offensive outbursts quelled that thought. Overall, I'm liking the variation of games I'm getting, from pitchers duels to the occasional slugfests.Comment

I think you are right about the SP IP. It should probably be at Stamina 7 and Manager Hook 4 like Nomos last set.

What are the significant differences between MLB 18 and 19 re MOM? Is 19 a must buy or are good 18 sliders enough of a hold over. Is there a frame rate or a freezing issue in 19?

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 18 Version Season-Mode Memorial Edition]
Has anyone tried these out post-patch from yesterday yet? I watched a couple games last night and it seemed like the opposing team was unhittable. Small sample size, I know, but still a concern.
I also feel like I’ve constructed a very good team with most of my team being in the low to mid 80s overall and a couple 90s but the batting numbers just don’t seem to be there for my team. We’re second to last or dead last in most of the major offensive categories (home rubs, rbi’s, average, on base %) It’s just kind of frustrating to see so many good hitters that I have struggle so much. It is early, though, in late April but I feel my team should be doing better.
Anyone have any tips to help my offense? Should I raise Human Batting Power, timing, and contact?
