Tried these sliders and no ground balls were hit and way too many opposite field hits.

Sliders really don’t determine if the ball is hit in the air or on the ground, or if that ball is pulled or not.

Every time I come to the plate it's a home run, pop out, double etc.

You're swinging under the ball, likely because you're tracking the ball down too far or just sitting too low. It also sounds like you're late in your swings.

I am actually early on most of my swings, but in a realistic amount, especially compared with the past few years where I DID see too many late swings. That's not the case this year; I'm very confident of that. I actually gave some consideration to increasing pitch speed, but prefer to see more pulled foul balls like I was seeing over the weekend.

I'm planning to release a beta set tonight for people to provide feedback on this week. Ideally, I'll have a version 1.0 this weekend.

It's good news all around though as the game is improved in a number of key areas, but also not so vastly different that the set needs to reinvent itself.

Just waiting for that roster update...

Mike..so glad your in on 20..
Last year 19 had a baserunning aggressiveness issue for Cpu.(as you know)
It was talked about but no slider combo worked for me...So my only solution was a player attribute in raising BR Agg..(and with your sliders)..it worked.

This years out of box I’ve been told the BR Agg for Cpu has been fixed ..
I’m using your sliders from 19..carried them over ( great feature)
and in “Play Now” saw some awesome baserunning and stretch doubles by Cpu
Started my franchise and only have played three games not so much. ( I’ve alway felt Play Now mode was much more animation friendly)

Your Fielding reaction/ running is 2 ..seems a tad too slow this year, some jogging by outfielders ect....however I’ll hold on that..I know your revamping sliders I will DEFINITELY be watching this thread to see your take ..I know you are aware of this...I only play Cpu vs Cpu so it’s vital to my gameplay experience..

So far for me your sliders from last year with one exception of bumping pitch speed to 7 have been working great. I put pitch speed up and now dominant pitchers throwing hard are tough to hit on five I was turning on everything now it feels more natural can still turn on 97 plus when you get in hitters counts.

I did some tweaks to your sliders and they seem to work fine. Turning down Human Contact a peg helps some. Also way too many foul balls and everyone is an opposite field hitter but I am seeing more ground balls. First game I did was Seattle 8, Miami 5. 3 Home Runs hit, two double plays, more grounders than before. Second game Miami 5, Detroit 0. No Home Runs, some grounders, a ton of foul balls, one outfield error, and still a lot of opposite field hitting.

Opposite field hitting is unrelated to sliders and fully related to your timing, and to a lesser degree pitch location and player makeup.

Mike in case your interested..I have been testing Franchise play with your V1 2019 sliders..

The only change I made was Fielder speed to 4 and fielder reaction to 3 (up from 2 and 2 )..
I’ve seen great gameplay in the cpu baserunning area...witnessed players going from first to third.
Runners tagging from second on fly ball to outfield...batters stretching singles to doubles...
I’ve also seen them getting gunned down on occasion.

I know I play game differently (Cpu vs Cpu )...and you take in consideration many other variables but I have never had this game replicating the game of baseball ⚾️ as I have seen this year with your sliders ..

Nevertheless I’ll be peeked for what you are cooking ....fun..fun..fun..

I started my franchise with my beloved Yankees only played two games so far (small sample size I know).

1. I'm not getting nearly enough swings and misses from the CPU, and subsequently, they aren't striking out enough.

2. either power seems a tad too high, or I need to bump up to legend hitting. I hit 4 HRs in game one and 7 in game two. The Orioles also hit 5 in game two.

Early observations. I'll provide feedback as I continue.

Just a heads up for everyone play testing... TAKE A LARGE SAMPLE SIZE! I understand you want the sliders faster so you can play ASAP, however sports need large sample sizes to give accurate results. Crazy things happen everyday in the sports world that would look like major outliers in a video game. Remember, Scooter Gennett hit 4 HR in a game... records are meant to be broken. Sometimes when we see our own team hit 6-7 HR we instantly think the game is too easy, but as long as that doesn’t happen every game, it’s okay.
