I'll probably let this ride for a bit, maybe make the deal closer to the trade deadline. But to answer your questions... in my opinion, you can never have too many middle infielders. And if someone can play shortstop at the Major League level, they can play almost anywhere. So he could move to second, or third. You never know what's going to happen with prospects so another good shortstop is never a bad thing. And about who's going to fill the role for Giles? Well, they Jays are not good at all. There's little chance they turn things around. Being 12 games out of the Wild Card in mid June is not good at all. So it would likely not be of great concern.
And again, I didn't mean to take up this much time discussing a trade but I do appreciate the back-and-forth. Most of the people in this thread are pretty level headed so I enjoy the discussion.

, getting pounded again in game 3, then proceed to lose the next 2 series in Boston and St. Louis. Go back to the Bronx to face Garrett Cole and am able to scatter 5 hits against him and actually scored a run, but lost 2-1 on a walk-off. And here's the headscratcher, I go out and win the next day and win 11-4 against Severino.
