If the Jays take Ademan and flip him right away for a player that helps them push forward than its a fair deal overall . And like they all say it's ur own universe so at the end of the day just go with it if Giles is who u really want . And let me tell u , Giles is AMAZING ! Just nasty and Soooo fun to pitch with . You will love him for sure

I'll probably let this ride for a bit, maybe make the deal closer to the trade deadline. But to answer your questions... in my opinion, you can never have too many middle infielders. And if someone can play shortstop at the Major League level, they can play almost anywhere. So he could move to second, or third. You never know what's going to happen with prospects so another good shortstop is never a bad thing. And about who's going to fill the role for Giles? Well, they Jays are not good at all. There's little chance they turn things around. Being 12 games out of the Wild Card in mid June is not good at all. So it would likely not be of great concern.

And again, I didn't mean to take up this much time discussing a trade but I do appreciate the back-and-forth. Most of the people in this thread are pretty level headed so I enjoy the discussion.

My Yankees dropped game 2 vs Seattle 11-7

Tanaka got knocked around giving up 8ER in just 5 innings. He has gone from my staff Ace in 2019 (18-3 3.45 ERA) to a bum overnight.

I have three pitchers (Tanaka, German, Sevi) with the dreaded snowflake beside their name.

It is tough times in May as we have gone 2-9 in our last 11.

      #baseball #marathon #thatsbaseballsusan

Tonight will be the rubber match vs the best team in baseball as of this moment the Seattle Mariners.

Also we are going to fire up a 1998 Yankees season replay with MK Harsh’s amazing 1998 set he dropped last night.

      Really a stunning roster.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but doesn't the snowflake simply mean that the player has just, "been cold," recently? In other words its a visual for them not having a good previous 10 games. It has no under-the-hood attribute increases or anything like that.

I hear ya. This is exactly why Armor preaches to play every pitch of every game. You will see every scenario that the game of baseball has to offer. I get frustrated with some aspects of the game also but honestly some of the things that happen that we may see as “ cheap” are all things that happen in real life. Trust the sliders and trust that everything will even put over the course of the season. So many ups and downs!

My pitching has come around, at least compared to the dumpster fire that it was in the first two months.

I’m starting to get to the point where I’m at a bit of a loss with the state of my franchise. Started out hot, then the switch to V3.0 and it’s been nothing but downhill since. Every single bat in my lineup is cold, my pen can’t get 3 outs. We’ve lost 13 of our last 14 games. If the bats get a few runs, the pen blows it or the starter is off that night. If the offense is anemic, our pitching is keeping us in it.

Anyone else having this experience so far? I’m losing my hair each and every game.

Hate to break it to you. But that’s baseball.

                  I just had a 2-9 stretch.

Play through the slumps. It is part of the journey.

I lost 6 straight at one point and 8 of 10. I was finding ways to lose every single game. I'd have big leads, I'd blow them, I'd make a comeback, I'd blow it. I could not buy a win. Now I'm 44-29, 5.5 games up in the NL Central. Ride it out, it will come around, at least to some degree.

Christian Yelich homered off me 3 times in my previous game, the first of the series. He has 2 in the second game of the series now. Somebody shoot me.

He's getting plunked the rest of the series.

But I do have 2 homers each with Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins in this game too.

Home run derby this game. 5th inning and 7 total home runs between both teams.

Man I feel you. I am in a terrible stretch myself. I was just swept by the nationals and the Phillies and am 2-11 in my last 13. I've seen a 3 game lead become a 3 game deficit.

I cant hit at all and well my pitching has been awful. I went from 4th in the league in era to now 14th. It's been a very frustrating couple of weeks. But I'm still in love with this game and atleast play one game a day. You're right playing through the bad times is part of baseball.

On a positive note I dead smash the Marlins 10-2 last night so here's to hoping!!

Sometimes this stuff gets in my head, just like real life. When things go bad on the mound I feel like I am always going to blow a lead and when I am slumping at the plate I feel like I couldnt hit a beach ball. Its amazing how a video game does this to me but the struggle is real!

                            Soapbox-rant

I ask this question with absolutely no malice: What is the expected outcome of every game? Throwing myself on this pile of frustration, it seems like frustration results from an endless cycle of inaccurate data/perception collection that leads to looking at what's wrong with the game. Remembering it is a video game but forgetting that this video game represents the most fickle and irrational game in existence. I love the term, "That's baseball"; it's the greatest term ever...the explanation for the unexplainable, and a term you better get used to using if you want to enjoy this game for the masterpiece it is!

I am currently experiencing a classic "That's Baseball" moment: Opened the season by getting no-hit by Garrett Cole playing with the Orioles, somehow scratched out a 3-2 win the next day despite striking out 21 times, getting pounded again in game 3, then proceed to lose the next 2 series in Boston and St. Louis. Go back to the Bronx to face Garrett Cole and am able to scatter 5 hits against him and actually scored a run, but lost 2-1 on a walk-off. And here's the headscratcher, I go out and win the next day and win 11-4 against Severino.

That's baseball! Nothing wrong with this game...it does a great job of causing you to use this term every time you fire it up!

I have to say that after having my annual case of slideritis, followed by a 1-2 week break because I become frustrated with a few things, I’ve never had this much fun playing The Show. I’m by no means saying to throw caution to the wind in regards to trying to get realistic results. But I have al but stopped focusing on, “perfect stats.” I play the game, whatever the stats are, I roll with it. I am leading the league in home runs (as an NL team) and will likely break the home run record for a team set by the Twins last year. In years past I’d be trying to make a hundred adjustments to alleviate this. Not this year. If I lead the league in home runs, I lead the league in home runs. And I’m 100% fine with that. I still abide by my, “realm of believability.” Whatever happens in my franchise has to be at least remotely possible. If I had 3 players that were going to hit 80 homers in a season, I’d make a change. If I was going to win 140 games I’d make a change. But ultimately my win-loss record is what I focus on. I’m 44-29, and that’s good, but it’s the third best record in the NL. So I’m fine with it.

Thought I was hitting one of those “cold streaks”, as I had accumulated 6 hits in the first two games at Texas’ new ballpark. Then we did this..

Judge and Stanton each 5/5!!! Judge had 5 singles LOL.

Stanton and Voit each with 2 bombs.
