Funny I'm the opposite. Armor's pitching and Josh's hitting.

I was curious really how often any of you mix up your routine throughout a game. Or if y'all pretty much just stick to your game plan each inning. Like if you sense the hitters are getting aggressive early in the count because you're going in there early with fastballs, do you start throwing intentionally out of the zone early in the count to get them out of rhythm......

I mix it up on a by need basis I guess. As the hitters adjust I need to adjust. Some games I will only use 2 pitches the first time through the lineup. The fastball obviously being the featured pitch while spotting a second pitch. Then as the lineup turns over I will begin using other pitches to keep them guessing. This strategy only works well when I'm locating the fastball really well and not getting deep into counts. But it is really fun when it works.

This is my personal taste, and it’s the way I enjoy simulation baseball.

FYI: I’ll increase the broadcast volume prior to advancing to the next calendar day, at the same time I change the INJ slider to 6.. This allows me to enjoy the daily recap. I’ll turn the setting back to zero after the recap is over; at that time I revert the INJ slider back to 10.

I’m sure some of you already do this. For anyone that hasn’t - give it a shot, why not?
I turned off broadcast about 50 games ago and haven't looked back. I also found I was using the audio cues to help me read hits. So I turned it off and had to start playing better baseball.

My bad, I use Armors sliders for everything except pitching which I use Josh's.

My 1st season was phenomenal using them.

1st NLDS game felt like a tough playoff game, even playing at home. Score was a 7-1 W, but only broke out in the 7th inning.

CY Young winner NOLA pitched a gem, 13k complete game.

Wow, wow wow, all I can say as I've just played my most favorite game of 20 so far.

NLDS Game 2 in Philly, Phil's had a 6-2 lead in the 7th and the Cubs came back and tied it. Get this, based loaded, 1 out n the CPU did a suicide squeeze to perfection to tie the game. I was in absolute shock from it.

Go to the 9th, tie game, 2 outs, 3-2 count n the Triple Crown MVP Harper smashes a walkoff HR opposite field damn near to the seats I get every season.

I really dont know how people arent loving 20...I've never felt so much enjoyment out of a game.

Nice. You have to watch those suicide squeezes by the CPU. They like to do it in extra innings for the walk off. I even just had them do it with 2 outs with the game tied in the 9th inning. Luckily the batter missed it so it was a inning ending caught stealing at home. I was sure hoping my catcher wouldn’t just stand there and not tag the runner. Lol

I was preparing myself too much to make the double play, never thought the batter would pull a bunt. My mouth dropped when it happened.

NLDS Game 3, Phil's couldn't show up in Chi, 6-3 Loss, n never felt close.

Just proves how much the sliders and gameplay works for me. Cause that game was a blast to play even with the loss.

Hopefully Game 4 is a W, get a break before having to face the Dodgers, who easily swept the Nats...smh.

Update, Game 4..1-1 game in the bottom of the 10th in Chi, and karma comes back n bites the Phils...Bryant hits a walkoff no doubt HR for the W. Cubs tie the series.

                    Game 5 in Philly.

I hope everyone gets to experience the games I've had the past few weeks the same way. They're stress inducing, exhilarating and just beyond fun to play.

How about when you got a guy that's an 85 overall, with 87 control, and everything he throws rarely hits the intended spot and he often ends up giving up monster home runs......lol

I actually have that guy. Bumgarner is an 88 ovr with great control and in year 1 he was fabulous. But through 9 starts in year 2 he has not had the command I've come to expect from him and he's giving up more walks and far more homers. Sometimes it's just a cold streak or a down year at play and we've got to ride it out.
During these times you've got to really lean on the one pitch he can command. That pitch may vary from start to start. It may not. For Bum this year it's been his 4 seam which is his second best pitch. I have to lean on it almost every start and live with the consequences. It's been my experience that at some point in the year said pitcher will correct his mechanics and find his command and have a hot streak where things balance out.
You can also try mixing up release points on certain pitches by letting go of the button at different times and see what's working and what's not.

Just had a awesome 9th inning that was probably a 1st for me in the Show. In early June in my Yankees franchise. Going for the sweep playing at home against Tampa down 4-2 with their closer Nick Anderson coming in.

Urshela lead off pulling a ball 389 feet for a solo HR. 4-3 game. That one felt really good. Next up Mike Ford and he crushes a HR 428 feet to right. Tied game. I couldn’t believe it after that one, couldn’t score since the 3rd inning. Next up....Aaron Hicks. Just got him back from the IL before the Tampa series and he had a key 3 run HR in a 3-1 win the game before this. Hicks 387 foot HR to right into the porch for a walkoff! I don’t remember ever walking off with back to back to back HR’s. That power surge came out of nowhere.

By the way anyone else struggle Vs Charlie Morton? Got 2 runs through 5 off him this time with 7 K’s. Faced him in April and got held to 2 runs through 7. His slower breaking stuff is filthy with those mid to upper 90’s fastballs, hard to time him up.
