      Funny you should ask.

We are heading into the All-Star break this weekend.

I will have a All-Star statistic report on the OP soon.

I will say this. Bryce Harper had the best first half of any player in the league....and in my history of playing The Show I have never had a first half like this. If he stays healthy he is a shoe in for the league MVP and he is in the running for the triple crown right now. He is #1 in HR’s and RBI’s but trails only Eric Hosmer in batting average.

Full Yankees team stats coming soon!

I wish they would tell us the stats versus the starting pitcher in the lineup screen before the game. Even a pop up screen that says this player is 7 for 10 against this pitcher you should put him in the lineup. Just like it tells you this player is only hitting .180 vs righties you should replace him. I played Polluck against Max Fried and it said he was 7 for 14 against him in the osd in the game. I’m like oh I’m glad I decided to play him.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider

So after a very weak April schedule, and 6 games into May, I sit 30-8 with the Yankees. Interestingly enough, 3 of those losses are vs the 10-28 Tigers--but I digress..

I'm happy with how everything feels, but I think I need to make some very minor adjustments to tone down the offense.

              - We are currently hitting .283, which is best in MLB (Yankees hit .267 in 2019)
              - 81 HR (2.13/game) (best in MLB), is 15 ahead of CWS and ATL. (NYY hit 1.89/game in 2019)
              - 257 strikeouts (hitting) (2nd lowest in MLB) and is 6.76/game (NYY avg. 8.87/game in 2019; good for 14th in MLB)

I am thinking the cure may be to raise pitch speeds +1 for each? Or, should I let it keep riding before making any adjustments? I have played A LOT of bad teams, but the best team I played, Cleveland (27-14)--I swept in New York.

I am already 9 games up in the East, and have a 4 game set at 2nd place Tampa next week.

I welcome any and all feedback!

I’d say your options I’d start with is raise pitch speeds. Lower user timing. Raise cpu consistency. That’s just my opinion of course.

You’re only six games into May. The Yanks hit .267 in all of 2019. You’re 16 points higher in BA, but not yet 1/3 a way into the season. HR @ 2.13 through May vs. 1.89 in all of 2019... same deal. The Yankees are loaded. You should see outstanding production at times. Stats level off over 162 games. Furthermore, there are some seasons where stats, whether they be from the plate and/or the mound, are outliers. Seasons should and will vary.

You’re off to a HOT start - ride the wave and don’t look back. You will cool off. It’s inevitable. How do you think you’ll do when you’re down Judge, Stanton, and LeMahieu, or when you’re grinding through August with all of your guys running on little rest, and on a 12 game road trip? Things could turn on you in a heartbeat, and you’ll long for this early season run.

I’d trust the OP and let it ride, before you start thinking too much about settings. Trust me. This is coming from a guy who has been down that road in ALL sports games. But it is your world. Only you know the true feel of the way that you play the game. As Armor has stated, trust his OP, but use his set as a base.

If this team can get on the field IRL, watch out for them. It's not that this team is loaded with high rated players, but loaded with solid rated players with versatility. Each game is a jigsaw puzzle of possibilities.

Implemented a hybrid six-man rotation. I use Wade Miley and Tyler Mahle in the long relief role, but have them jump into the rotation to take a start for the other four relievers on a rotating basis. It ensures I'm keeping a fully rested starting corp intact.

My suggestion is to leave it alone and play it out. This is baseball man!

You hear players IRL say there are times when every pitch looks like a beachball coming in/or an aspirin. IRL, when it's beachballs, a hitter isn't asking to shorten the distance to the mound, or switching to a whiffleball bat. Keep grinding away and win the World Series...but I guarantee you that you'll hit a stretch when your pitching sux and all you're seeing are aspirins. AND, have you had any injuries?

In my epic run with the Reds, I keep wondering if it should be this easy. To test it, I went to the Orioles and played a series...it isn't that easy, lol.

                      Just my two-cents.

Played a crazy game against the Twins in my A’s franchise in which Cruz, Canha, and Chapman hit 2 home runs. I wound up winning 9-4.

The Saturday matinee vs the Red Sox, and I was promptly held to a 3/28 performance at the plate, with 9 K's lol. Yall can take that voodoo back!

I think you should ride it out unless you end up totally dominating almost all offensive categories by unrealistic amounts. If the Yankees roster stays healthy and doesn’t get decimated by injuries like last year it’s not hard to believe they could be the strongest offense in the league, especially in HR’s.. It’s also not hard to believe they could finish with the best record in the league. That’s all very possible in real life if enough things go right injury wise.

Think you should roll with it a while longer and then if your stats become or remain unrealistically great then make some sort of change.

I’d like to add one more thing. You’d be shocked how much raising pitch speeds one notch each raises difficulty. I was at 7/6 and then decided to try 8/7..I couldn’t hit ANYTHING. A lot of times messing with just pitch speeds first is a better option opposed to messing with all the sliders. It’s true once you adjust one slider it feels like you have to adjust another. It’s a rabbit hole I have gone done this year, but at the same time I felt like I had to. Also changing camera can be a big challenge too. You can make those two minor changes without messing with sliders at all and I think it would make a big difference in how much you’re being challenged at the plate.
