Keep it going man. Anytime I start getting burned out from playing to much of the show I swap over to whatever game I am playing on the side. Right now that Assassins Creed Odyssey. I'll play for a few days then come back to the Show. I'm 37-16 right now in my Braves franchise and just took a 3-2 loss last night after coming back from week long break.

How do you guys “play” your franchises?
I am about 40 games in, and have played every pitch of every inning. First time ever doing this, or even completing this many games, lol.
I am having a lot of fun, however I also realize that playing this way, I will not finish a season any time soon—which makes my efforts feel a bit worthless. I am currently playing about 5 games per week to “keep the pace” while hopefully not getting bored or burned out like every other year.
I can’t decide if I want to start swimming, to speed things up and get in multiple seasons. I don’t know what PS5 holds, or if I will even get it, or if a carryover save from PS4 to PS5 is even possible? Can anyone advise?

This year I’ve been playing every game and I’m at June 26th in my franchise. I’ve mixed in simming in past franchises. I feel like it’s easier to stay immersed and have storylines develop when your playing every game but when there’s no pandemic disrupting normal life and shutting down all real life sports, and the Show isn’t the only game you play it can definitely be hard to make real progress playing every game.
If you decide to sim I reccomend quick manage for the games you don’t play. You’ll get through them fast but it will still keep you somewhat involved in them by setting the lineups, managing the bullpen, and substitutions, instead of just straight up simming letting the CPU run them.Comment

Big game here . 1st game after the All star break as we welcome the always dangerous Yankees to town for a 3 game series . I lead the division and coming into this we are on a 5 game win streak . The Rays are 0.5 gb , Red Sox are 2 games back and the Yankees and 4 games back , so It's a crazy 4 way battle and it's beyond nerve wracking . A really great match up as Sean Manaea takes to the Mound for us and Gerrit Cole for the Yanks. My youngins are turning into beasts and we punished Cole , but the Yankees also punished Manaea and this came down to the wire . Entertaining action from both sides and a game that could have gone either way .

I wouldn't worry too much about carryovers for next gen...the devs have done a terrific job keeping that working for us for multiple years; I think they truly understand how key it is for so many of us and the system architecture isn't changing nearly as much as it did from PS3 to PS4. It'll be fine...Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Keep at it man. At that rate, you'd finish year 1 in December/January - that'd give you a 3 month or so respite before the next game launches. During that respite, you can either take a break from The Show completely and dive into other games, dive into a faster-paced season playthrough on The Show, or just go straight into Year 2. In the meantime, just savor the ride, enjoy the stories.

Somehow I wish they could implement the new schedule for the next season in an update or something so I could go into year 2. I take the Armor approach and wait for the next iteration for the correct schedule.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
Yankees Year 4 second half of the season began late last night at St Louis with the return of Catcher Gary Sanchez. He went a quiet 0-4. However Greg Bird hit his 28th HR and Trea Turner drove in 2 en route to a solid 5-3 win. Their 9th straight.
Pitcher Luis Severino gave up 3 runs in 6.1 innings. Dellen Betances went 1.2 for his 7th win out of the pen and Chapman picked up just his 15th save in an injury riddled year 4.
Bryce Harper has hit 42 HRs in 96 games to go along with.....get this 80 RBI’s.
We are marching towards October here and hold a 3.5 game lead over the Red Sox.

Any of you guys ever seen a D potential player develop into a C or better? Or a solid big leaguer? I have some intriguing D guys in my farm system with one good tool who I'm hoping are sleepers.
