Just won a close game at home against Toronto in the bottom off the 9th.

Tie game and Cutch led off the inning and got on base. Then Segura tips a ball over the SS but Cutch gets thrown out at second because he never even got a jump off first. I knew he had to hold to make sure the SS didn’t make the catch but I was pretty pissed at him for making that mistake because he didn’t even step off the bag.

I gained my composure and Harper laces a single over the SS, too. Segura made it to second, though and up comes Hoskins.

A wild pitch lets Harper and Segura advance so I decide to pinch run for Segura with Quinn and his 96 speed.

Another wild pitch and I send Quinn home but he’s called out on a bang-bang play.

Now I have Harper on 3rd with 2 outs and a 2-2 count to Hoskins. Miller throws a slider that catches too much of the plate and Hoskins laces the pitch to center and it falls.

Harper scores and the Phillies win 9-8!

What a great game.

I wanna drop something off topic here...

I want to say that I love this thread. Armor, your sliders are top notch year in and out, and so is this yearly thread. You do such a good job of keeping the rif-raf that resides in the general forum—out.

Also, I want to say that I love coming here to “get away.” With um, “all that’s going on right now,” it’s essentially impossible to escape from. I don’t want to be ignorant to the “goings-on” in the world, but I do need to escape it. I need some fresh air—and I can get that here.

So, to all of you that make this such a jam up thread/community, thank you. It truly means more than you know.

While I cant wait till we can manually throw again. Just played my first game with the auto/auto setup..the game was intense! There were a couple plays at the plate and it felt like i was watching a game anticipating what was about to happen!

1 in particular in the 8th inning, Rowan Wick gave up a single to Center and Yadier Molina was on second. Watching Ian Happ throw home and it ended up being real close but Molina beat the tag i was on the edge of my seat. Ended up losing 4-3 to the hated Cards!

I wanted to echo those words. I appreciate your passion for this game and your thread family. It is a our little safe place for us all. From the real world and our game.

On a side note, I’m on April 15th in my Braves Franchise and there is no players in the trade block yet. I do have trades set to manual in April so there would be no crazy minor leaguer trades. Is it because I have trades on manual or is the game designed that way? Which I think is great if that is the case because there shouldn’t be a full trading block in the first three weeks of the season like previous games.

It is the manual setting.

If you are using Ridin’s full minors you will not see that crazy amount of trades.

But yes once you turn the other 29 teams back to auto for trades the block will take shape.

I know when using 30 team control if i have the profile for cou teams set to manual no one is added to the trade block...when i switch to auto players are eventually added.

I don’t want to be too critical of the people at SDS because I’m sure it’s not easy with everything going on in the world, but man... the effort this year has been beyond poor. It’s to the point I already don’t want to play the game anymore two weeks in, and it’s literally my favorite sports franchise. I hope they can get it together

Well just as I’m heading off for the evening I spot on Twitter that 1.07 will drop and fix two things:

The Baserunning Diamond and Lead Runner Window will now display correctly, when the "Baserunning Decisions" or "Fielding Decision" options are set to "AUTO".

The player marker (circle) will no longer display under a player when the "Fielding Decisions" are set to AUTO.

Hopefully come tomorrow it will be all systems go!

Big props to SDS great job on getting this fixed so quickly. I dont think that there has ever been a more important time for all of us to be able to get away from the real world and play this amazing game.

With all that is going on in the world and for these guys to get these little things fixed so quickly shows just one reason why SDS and mlb the show are the best.
