I'm in the same boat on 7/6...trust me, keep practicing there. Like real life, you shouldn't be able to sit offspeed and still be able to catch up to a high-velo FB if you guess wrong. It sounds to me like 7/6 is the perfect spot for you where you will be challenged.

Now you (like me) need to get better at sitting on fastballs and swinging accordingly. It's not hard to catch up to...but you have to be expecting it and HAVE to be looking for that pitch in that location.

That is so true. And it plays mind games with your head. I sit on fastball and then the cpu throws a slider and man I look bad. I can see the pitcher laughing at me. It’s like he knows. I’ll stay at 7/6. Thank you.

Debating if I should just download the patch and do auto/auto.

Yeah it isn't the runner windows...it is the runner diamond in the top right corner which shows how the CPU is advancing or not.

Without that you simply cannot know where to throw the ball on auto fielding and manual throwing.

I play with the baserunner windows off all the time....I do not need those. What I do need is to know WTF the CPU baserunners are doing while the ball is in play when making throwing decisions.

Again they wired the entire thing.....all wrong. They are aware of it....believe me. They know loud and clear what is up and about the blue freaking circle of death under the fielders on auto fielding...another mind boggling bug presented on 1.05.

Auto/Auto is the only way to play with a clean screen like we are all used to until this stuff is fixed (blue circles still there though.....that is another bug we are waiting for fix on).

Even this is annoying if you use Auto base running. Runner on 1st at Fenway, high fly ball off the Green Monster, you can't tell where the runners are until the actually get to the next base. How far is the runner on 1st from 2nd waiting to see if it's caught, and where in the double H is the batter rounding 1st. Removing the runner diamond was stupid. When I saw this I wanted to start flipping tables!!

The pitch type and velo are back in the scorebar but not when a pitch is swung on and contacted. I would still like that info to display on fouls or balls put in play.

Yeah same. I think I’d rather have the pitch info display on scoreline at the expense of manual throwing.

So idk if it's an issue with me, or something I could maybe fix through the settings but I've been playing The Show since 17 averaging a 162 game season per game edition and this has never been an issue for me until this year's game.


I usually play using Armor & Swords sliders with hitting difficulty on Hall of Fame. I have been playing with these settings for the last 3+ years and it has always worked perfectly fine with me. This year, I have noticed that everything just kind of feels off. First of all playing all Hall of Fame hitting once I got used to the timing and feel of The Show 20 eventually started leading to my team getting way too many hits and scoring way too many runs.



On The Show 19, Hall of Fame was generally very difficult for me, and sometimes I had to lower it to All Star, but I found that I could usually find a nice balance in between the two. In 20, Hall of Fame became too easy with way too many high hit/home run games, so I eventually switched to Dynamic difficulty. On Dynamic, it bumped me up to Legend (and to Legend+ one time). The problem is, most of my at bats either result in three things: a strikeout, a walk, or a hit (with a LOT of home runs). I very rarely get contact resulting in an out. I'm averaging like 13-15 strikeouts a game because almost any time I make solid contact, it results in a hit. I don't know what to do to fix this. I have never had any issues until The Show 20.



Anyone have any ideas?

Move your pitch speeds up front the OP

Go to 8/7 fastball off speed and try that out for a while. Still too easy? Go to 9/8 still too easy? got to 10/9

Still too easy?

Move up to default pitch speeds (6/5) on Legend level hitting.

Once I finish April I will post my month end stats.

I am 14-4 and mashing. Lead the league in HR’s and am a top hitting team as I should be. My lineup is stacked. Pitching I am middle of the road including 15th in the MLB in K’s so my top arms are dealing.

That is exactly what happened to me.



I am turning off auto downloads moving forward.

In my case I don’t have auto download on but as soon as I saw an update all I could think was “ sweet, the blue circle would be gone” and clicked that download button like there was no tomorrow. What a moron I am! That was at about 6:30 this morning before any of this talk came out. Bummer

I want to say that I love this thread. Armor, your sliders are top notch year in and out, and so is this yearly thread. You do such a good job of keeping the rif-raf that resides in the general forum—out.

Also, I want to say that I love coming here to “get away.” With um, “all that’s going on right now,” it’s essentially impossible to escape from. I don’t want to be ignorant to the “goings-on” in the world, but I do need to escape it. I need some fresh air—and I can get that here.

So, to all of you that make this such a jam up thread/community, thank you. It truly means more than you know.
