Make sure you guys know that starters K ratings are already extremely low. I’ve become pretty good at overcoming this and striking out the cpu at a decent rate. You really need to know the release points of your pitchers and how to set the cpu up to chase. Also getting your pitchers pitches confidence early on helps big time.

I'd say most guy's questions would be answered and complaints quelled if they just took the time to read the entire OP and buy in to the style of play. I see a lot of guys basing their assessment of the slider set on the way ONE GAME played out for them because a good lineup mashed against a poor pitcher or whatever. Do you all realize that in sports anything can happen on any given day? So when the Yankees are shut out by Baltimore that's just baseball and when a month later they destroy Baltimore that too is just baseball, it should rarely play out a "certain" way. Guys lets get back to enjoying the wonderful game of baseball and talking it with some maturity.

Man, this has been so stressful . After 100 games now theres simply no other choice for me but to stick with Legend hitting with Power 4 , Solid hits 4 Fastball pitch at 7 and Off speed at 6 . I found these settings to most resemble and play like the Show 19 did on HOF hitting for me , very strange that most dont seem to think that its much easier to hit in this game . But im glad to finally say that after 100 games of testing i now finally feel confident enough with these settings to start my Jays franchise tmr and enjoy this game . This is the final game i tested today and it was a really fun one against the power hitting Twins , and i truly need to learn how to run the bases cus it cost me late in the game and it wasnt the first time this has happened . I nearly broke my chair in anger when 2 guys just decided to stay on the same base . Im just so excited to finally get this franchise going tmrr , and if anyone wants a watch for the Jays vs The Twins heres the link . Enjoy

damn, I wish I was getting that many K's with my starters. I just started using Classic pitching, but I'm really only maxing out with about 4-5 K's per start. My relievers are doing alright, but I just can't seem to get into 2 strike counts with my starters

For anyone looking to kick it and watch some baseball we got my 7-8 Mets taking on the 10-7 Braves tonight at 6:10 ET. Degrom on the hill facing Fried. Talking Ks, my team is currently 28th in Ks but I have Degrom who's also leading the league in strikeouts lol. 98 overall will help that but it seems like the pitching stats eventually even out going by history of the game.

Loving the baseball the game brought out. Hope the patch can fix the small minor details cause the gameplay is beautiful. Cheers and LGM.

Dude stop being so good at this game! Looking forward to hearing about your franchise now that you've settled in on sliders.
Let us know some of your position battles and moves you are contemplating.
Also have you considered carrying over your last chise? I'm all in on my carryover. But the rosters are so fun this year I'm also fooling around with a test franchise.

Ugh that's the thing that's most frustrating , I'm not a superstar player , the pitch speed is slower in this game than in 19 and the CPU pitchers are way too dumb and careless here on HOF hitting . So many meatballs down the middle and in such dangerous situations . In the show 19 after just moving the pitch speed up I was getting challenged again and my 3rd season was playing amazingly well and I couldn't be happier .

Then literally overnight I get this game and I'm crushing 24 homers in 60 games with Teoscar Hernandez and the entire team is hitting .300 and I'm also the best team in the league with the stock version of the Jays in season 1. But I'm so happy I stuck and kept testing with Legend cus it really is playing out just how the show 19 was for me on HOF hitting . And the best part is even the stats are scary accurate for nearly each player so far , I'm not chasing to have accurate stats but it's a big plus and what was happening on HOF was beyond ridiculous and just fantasy .

The only sure addition so far is to the starting rotation , I brought in Matthew Boyd for a couple of B rated prospects and a couple of free agent bullpen arms . I'm just going to play it out and finally enjoy this game .

Ive been reading through the thread. Just my two cents on the game. This year is the best baseball ive played video game wise. I think the most fun i had was ken griffey jr. Baseball on super nintendo. Man i loved that game.

Like armor said sliders arent going to fix issues you guys are seeing. Its in the difficulty setting.

Some advice. If your new start on dynamic and find where your skill level is by just playing the game. Use preseason to get down your level then stick there.

Mix and match. Last year i played on all star batting and hof pitching because i was better at pitching and not so good at batting.

Just because armor has his set on hof doesnt mean these sliders wont work on any level. Dont be set to play on someones set as is. Each slider set is tuned to the authors personal experience not yours. One slider set does not fit all. Human skill level is involved. Dont be afraid to do your own testing and playing around with different sets. I tried every set on OS before i found what works for me.

If the game is frustrating then take breaks reevaluate your approach. Try diffent batting and pitching styles. I use meter pitching with this set and its fine. Ive used meter since MVP days so im used to it.

Try different ideas before going crazy with sliders. This game gives you so many customizable options to taylor to each user. Take advantage of that. This isnt the mess madden is. This game is finely tuned and you can tell sds put some love in it.

In my case, I was raking nearly every game to start the season and realized that I was always early or on time for fastballs, even the ones that were near 100 MPH. I bumped the pitch speeds up by one click and it's like playing a whole different game now.

High 90's are really difficult to hit unless I'm sitting on it, as it should be. For those of you who are dominating on offense this year, try raising the pitch speed sliders and see how that goes.

Those numbers are solid and basically in line with what I’m getting. Sometimes it gets frustrating to see the cpu foul off tough pitch one after another and even lay off on some great pitches but the strikeouts are there. Just need to learn how to get them consistently.

I had a great thing that happened in the game that I don’t think I have seen before. I hit a line drive to the first baseman and it went off his glove and he barehanded the reflection for the out. It wasn’t a high deflection he basically just grabbed it out of the air. Just thought that was really cool.

I love the throws to first to the pitcher covering. Those are so smooth.

I don’t know if it is just my catchers or not but it seems like they are slow to get a bouncer in front of the plate. Might just be me because the runner just beat it out. Just seemed like the catcher didn’t move right away like maybe he thought the pitcher was going to get it. Not a slider issue.

This is also me exactly. I’ve always used Armour’s sliders and played on the same level. With pitch speeds at 7/6, however I did find hitting too easy (and hitting lots of homers). I tried a game on Legend and that seemed a little too much for this 56 year old “kid”. So I’m back on HOF and raised pitch speeds to 8/7. Much different game got me as well. Really have to be on my toes to catch up to a fastball (which is the way it should be). I liked it so much that I’m starting my franchise over
