I know it’s been discussed in here before but how can you remove an injury? I set the injury setting to manual but cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove.

Go to DL and move over with either L1/R1 or L2/R2, can't remember which.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
I'm having serious trouble pitching well with my relievers specifically, anyone else? Chapman, Ottavino, Britton, Kahnle are all getting absolutely shelled in spring training. Can't locate anything and way too many pitches ending up right over the middle of the plate or a foot outside the zone. Lots of walks and lots of hard contact.
By the way, how the hell is Zack Britton, with a 1.91 ERA last year, just a 79 overall? I could easily see him in the 82-84 range.
2 minutes after I type this Ottavino gives up a 2 run bomb on a 2-seamer that just stayed in the middle of the plate. Getting ridiculous honestly.

Pitching is starting to become a real problem for me just as it was last year.
You get the CPU to a 2 strike count and then they refuse to swing at anything out of the zone even if it’s borderline.
Hopefully I can work around it somehow, but as it stands pitching is just not fun or realistic for me at the moment.Comment

Armour, why don’t you use “MLB only” for injury management for cpu controlled teams instead of auto? It seems you go into each team and check them anywayYankees modern day

I agree with you I feel like that's the most unrealistic part of this game. CPU has way to much plate discipline once they get to 2 strikes should be the opposite.Pitching is starting to become a real problem for me just as it was last year.

Don’t get me wrong, this game is still damn fun to play, but this aspect really breaks the immersion and is damn frustrating.Comment

Honestly guy I just don't see it, I'm not saying your not just that I get them to chase pretty regularly. Especially with 2 strikes.

Yeah I'm currently 8th in the league in strikeouts. You really need to set them up but they will definitely chase.Comment

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
Hey all, I saw lots of people wanting to quantify number of home runs scored by Home Run vs. Other Means. I did a bunch of play index checks and got these numbers for the last MLB seasons IRL:
2019: 47% of all Runs scored by home run
2018: 42%
2017: 44%
2016: 42%
2015: 39%
We're definitely trending up
EDIT: However, you NEED to keep in mind what team you have. Example: Last 3 years, 52% of Yankee RBI's have come from Home Runs while in that same time span, the Giants have scored 35% of their runs via HR. Consider your lineup in this!Comment

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
I agree even with my current crappy staff "Marlins" I am getting good k/9 numbers I have not posted stats yet as I am building up a good sample size. But Yamamoto and Smith have had between 6-8 strikeouts in 6-7 innings pitched per start. Some looking and a lot of chase swinging strikes.Comment

Yeah same here. In fact it has never been better.
Check out my streams to see what I am talking about.
Classic pitching is on point for me and many many others.
If you are simply having that hard of a time. You really need to step down from HOF. We are playing default HOF with the exception of CPU foul frequency at 4.
It is not the game.
I see the same posts every single solitary year without fail. “Can’t K the cpu” “can’t walk the cpu” “can’t hit” “too many hits” “cpu can’t score without the long ball”
Seriously same comments year in, year out.
So either I am crazy and am playing an alien copy of the game or maybe some players need to learn how to get better or simply step down a level or two.
The last 3 years (18,19,20) this game has noticeably become much better in terms of hit variety, defensive play, CPU challenge, and being able to also fool the CPU at the dish.
20 it has never been better in being able to set-up the CPU and fan them.
I have no magic slider solution for that. You either are good enough and using the right pitchers (not every pitcher can strike guys out with regularity). Or you simply have to play on a lower level.
I can’t see how you play. I stream a ton of games so the proof is there. In living color.
Rant over.

I have the ability (not as much as I would like) to lay off pitch after pitch outside of the zone, but we want the CPU to just chase those pitches all the time?
I've had players in my franchise go through month long slumps, nothing they hit is worth a ****, and then a month later, they absolutely start raking. Probably a lot of gamers would blame the game or blame that "player", without understanding, that's how baseball is.
On a side note, I sometimes laugh that the player I am controlling get p***** at me when I flail away at a 2 strike slider, like "really dude, I would have never swung at that, you're killing my stats bro...."JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Well said. I finally swallowed my pride this year and stepped down to All Star pitching with cpu timing at 6. I’m pairing that with HOF hitting. I’ve never had more fun than this year, and that’s what it’s all about..fun. It cracks me up seeing people that flat out REFUSE to step down a difficulty level and every other post is how miserable they are with the game.

Every level in this game is tunable; people need to find the one that makes them happy and then tune it to their tastes. It isn't rocket science.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment
