Thank you for the reply. I may go power to 4 for both but keep the rest at default....if I change too many things then it gets in my head when I go on an extended hot or cold streak. Slideritis is a real condition that I do not want! Haha. But power to 4 may be a good tweak. Thank you to all

I drew 15 walks in this game. The most I’ve ever drawn in recent memory.

I still think that pitchers just hang meatballs right down the middle far too often and pitcher consistency and control can be moved up by 1 or 2 , but for now I'm gonna just leave it and see what kind of results I keep getting . But overall so far it's been great

I have really enjoyed classic pitching. TheWarmWind is another slider maker who is solid and he uses pulse for his slider sets.

I'm drawing more walk than ever before in this year's game, and while I like it on one hand, on the other hand the home plate umpires overwhelmingly favor hitters in close calls for balls and strikes. In real life home plate umpires generally favor the pitchers. To be honest, I wish it were the other way around. I'd like the umpires to call slightly more balls strikes. This would increase strikeout totals and lower hits a tad.

I think turning the variable umpire calls off could help with his.

Anyone else notice the umps, never clean the plate off this year? I swear it seems like after a few innings at least one side of the plate is completely covered and the ump will never give me that corner anymore.

I wasn’t even aware the ump cleaned the plate in the game lol

Lol, well I don't necessarily mean you actually seeing them do it. Just that the dirt really seems to pile up on home plate.

Here's some of my statistics through the first 12 games of the season... yes, I know, small sample size but this game either plays differently this year or I've gotten exponentially better. I almost always rank around the middle of the pack in batting average as a team.

                      Record (8-4)

                      AVG/HR/RBI

                      Kris Bryant .289 / 2 /3

                      Jason Heyward .325 / 1 / 11

                      Victor Caratini .273 / 0 / 2

Caratini is the only player that hasn't hit a home run and I have four players hitting in the mid to high .400's.

I'm not really looking for any, "answers," just thought I'd share and say that I'm not sure what's going on exactly. I've never hit like this on any previous version of The Show. I've been racking my brain trying to come up with why all of a sudden I'm basically the 1927 Yankees and I'm at a loss almost. I am playing on an Asus computer monitor with a really high refresh rate because my 4K TV was giving me crazy lag about once an inning on pitches. I feel like I'm seeing the ball better than I ever have. I have pitch speed up at 7 (for fastballs) and 6 (for curveballs) like Armor's. I'll honestly be surprised if this next update by SDS doesn't just tone down the offense overall, but we'll see.

In my last game Lester threw seven innings, and only recorded one strikeout.

Anytime I get an injury that says something happened that didn't, I put the player on the DL and then manually re-activate them. Can't be a head fracture if he wasn't hit in the head.

Yeah I just figured out how to do that, so I got Tanaka back. Seems fair enough.

Decreased off speed pitch speed by 1 and it definitely made offense more challenging. Thanks to Josh for that suggestion.
