I made a firm decision to not go to PS5 for a couple of years. Especially after reading the reviews on the console. It is simply not a must have kinda thing for me. I can easily wait.

I am in June on my Yr2 carryover. Moving along though. Just finished the Draft, which I grade myself a C-. I really either read things wrong from scouting, or idk. I got 2 maybe 3 decent guys, no sleepers, and total 9 picks. I would have done better just guessing lol.

I also made a decision to not get the PS5 till at least around March when I find out more about MLBTS 21. If no major changes, then I will hold off longer unless some other games come out that WOW me. As you know, I really only play The Show, so my PS5 decision comes down to that.

Truly am hoping I will be playing MLB 20 on PS5 by this weekend.

I will definitely be giving you guys impressions, and getting back in to my Phillies chise(S2). I'm hoping I won't have to redo all of my Sounds of the Show, but I'm expecting I will probably have to.

Man this week will need to go quick.

Looking forward to the impressions. It will help me decide on whether I purchase the ps5.

I'm excited for it. I know a lot of people are holding off, due to there being no real need to jump in yet...but for me, as long as all the games I play on PS4 will be better on the 5, it's worth it to me.

I already love the feel of the new Dualsense, but can tell it'll take some adjusting to.

And if there's a chance that 20 can play flawless FPS at the highest resolution, it will be worth it to me. Let's all pray Target doesn't mess up my pre-order.

Lmao I jumped on Madden and messed up by putting The Show back into the system. This is by far the best sports game made man. I’m hooked again. In the 2021 spring training, and will be playing this for months again 🤣

2016 Fantasy Draft Cardinals in year 3 (2019) we started our season.
2020 1980’s Strat-O-Matic KC Royals Year 1

And eagerly awaiting the 1993 Full Minors to begin a Florida Marlins legacy.

I am holding off starting Year 5 for our 2 time World Champion Yankees. Waiting to see what MLB The Show 21 has in store next year on PS4 (not jumping to PS5 for a while).

I have completed my first season with the Dodgers playing every pitch of every game. The Dodgers won the world series. I had 40 Man on Auto for all CPU teams and I got to the Rule 5 Draft I noticed Alec Bohm was available. So I drafted him. But now I feel like I cheesed the CPU. I have a file saved before the draft so I'm tempted to go back and put him on the Phillies roster. I was first thinking maybe I'll come up with a storyline on how he was wanted out of Philadelphia. But it looks like he was not in the 40 man roster at all in 2020 and was missed by me. Otherwise, I would have added him.

Do I go back and put him on the 40 man roster?

We signed J.T. Realmuto to a 5 year deal. Will Smith struggled all year so he will fall into a backup role or be traded.

If I want to do a carry over to get the 2021 schedule...do I save it just before I get to spring training?

I was just giving them what they would ask for and I would beat every other team and win that player. This time, Realmuto was not interested in my offer. He decided to stay with the Phillies. They were offering him 9 years at $21/yr and I offered him 5 years at $23M.

Is that what most of you guys do?

If I have the budget plus the need I will overpay for an impact player. It's the cost of acquiring the player. But I won't cheese the cpu and just buy everyone who is good unless of course that was my organizational strategy. We've seen Boston, LA and NYY do that irl at times. I just keep in line with how I plan to build my team and which positions I have developing players who are major league ready.

Today is the day guys. UPS driver is messing with me, has been in the area for the last 2 hrs...but I'll have the PS5 set up today.

Update, hate to tell you guys, but man the Show on PS5 is just...WOW.

Feel like im playing the game the way they want it to be. 4k Sharper play HDR on, game is just absolutely gorgeous and so smooth. It feels like a brand new game.

Videos of the Show running on PS5 does not do it justice.

I know some are holding off on a PS5, but I will tell you, it is truly worth it. I've had this thing on for 8 hrs both days, and its absolutely silent. I haven't heard it do anything besides beep to turn on. And literally no heat coming out of it.

I'll be excited to see what they can do for 21 with the PS5 in mind.

Yup, played 2 games of my Phillies S2 chise no problem. It's amazing. 1st game I had to relearn my timing with it now on Sharper, and so smooth.

Only downside so far is having to redo all my Sounds of the Show.

Other than that, I am extremely happy, especially with another lockdown coming. This is definitely going to help get thru the holidays.

The way the Show is on PS5, I'm going to be playing so much more again.
